I agree with you bro. uls.
The government is not helping us, ordinary citizens by creating more jobs. They're just there to juice us. How can they expect to do it forever, if work is going elsewhere?
And, our media is riding on so much controversies,- they should be active components of nation building. Too much freedom is not good because, they keep on forgeting that freedom entails responsibility.
Paint a good image of the country, for our posterity's sake!!!

Biro lang
Ok naman maging cynical. So that people will be inform about this wrong things in our midst.
At least somebody maybe somebody from the government or from the private sector will be challenged to do something about this rotten system in our country.
From the article about GMA's attempt to appease the Hanjin people, that's a bit o good news from a jackass government.

The Irony is, the Mayor claims he was the victim, he was bribed daw.
a counterclaim by one of the mayors that the company had offered him a P400-million bribe to clear the way for the project in Misamis Oriental province.

hahahahaha
a few thousand pesos siguro...
So why the hell will an investor in his right mind give away P400M of his capital just for a freakin permit if he wasnt being extorted, threatened or harassed?!Last edited by uls; May 5th, 2008 at 05:41 PM.

$2 bilion dollar is alot of money.
Sa pa-pogi points na lang mayroon na tayo because the 4th largest shipbuilding company in the world is here in the Philippines.
Jus imagine a Korean industrial behemoth will put up a total of $3.7 billion dollar investments in one country. Just imagine also the direct and indirect effects nyan sa economiya.

Alam ko yung sinasabi mo na gumagawa ng way ang mall developer para mas accessible sa customers ang kanyang mall by building overpasses and making sure the roads leading to the mall are wide and well paved.
Hanjin is foreign.
Di nila alam yung style na yan.
And immediate concern nila is yung shipyard nila.
That's how foreign investors think.
Coz they also invest in other countries.
And governments in other countries do not ask an investor to build infrastructure for them.
Iba lang talaga dito sa Pinas.

this is not true.. mga korakot lang talaga ang gobyerno kaya ganyan ang lumaalabas na storya.. alam ko yan pero di lang pde sabihin.. hehe
imo, korean investors/employers are "barat" when it comes to wages of their employees. they have stupid programs/contracts with their employees. like the contract is XX years and ther wage is constantly the minumum wage of the 1st year of contract throughout the contract years. do you think employees can live with the minimum wages of yesterday for today's prices? i dont think so they have to change that attitude .. the government is pressuring them to build training centers with their expense and that training center costs too much for them. that's why they like to have a pull out beacause of those reasons. now thats the problem.. but government are also kurakot and i think this is one of the reasons why hanjin wants a pull-out.. we dont know, maybe the government is making hanjin pay overpriced equipment or the like.
bottomline is, kurakot talaga ang gobyerno like others are saying here :boo: :busted:
Choice I would have made as well.
