the privilege is that the U.S. can borrow from the world in its own currency and pay back debt in its own currency (in devalued dollars)

that's how the US maintained superpower status for all this time

Let us give the positive developments the benefit of the doubt. If there is no positive outlook for investors, I do not think that they will invest a single dollar in this country. Further, no country has been successful in its program without debt. It is just a matter of prioritizing your goal, it's the same reason why we have the medium term economic development, di ba? Anyhow, I'm no expert in economics but from daily experience, we really need to expand the middle class in our country to get it moving forward.
