    honestly, gunsmithing won't be even "illegal" if it weren't for the draconian gun laws that make self defense so inaccessible to the common man. obviously, there's high demand for tools such as guns and knives for self defense, ergo to meet that demand, "illegal" gunsmiths pop up.
