Good point, sir. The truth is, our beloved president has been caught LYING numerous time. That is the truth that we cannot deny. His track record speaks for itself.

1) He lied about Trillanes bank account numbers -- "That number I invented, son of a bitch, that's mine, I made it up.”
2) "I will stop contractualization"
3) "I will resign if I don't stop drugs in 6 months"
4) "I will resign if my children are involved in drugs" -- only his son resigned.

At least in my field, the needed seminars to accumulate the major points is not price friendly and often conflicts your sched. Add to it those seminars doesnt enable you or give you more skills.

I enrolled on a class to further enhance my skill and the association just credited it for a few points. They say those association mandated seminars are the ones that will net you the point requirement the fastest. In short, money talks.

Okay yan dream, kung minimal lang sana. Pati mga new prof na walang work/minimum wage, affected. Tapos may moro moro pa na kapatid ni Sen isa sa mga training center.
Ako dream OFW, pag renew ko ako pa may utang sa PRC. I don't need CPD in abroad. Ang nangyayari ngayon, ginagawang gatasan ng professional ang kapwa professional.

Yes, seminars organized by the association like PSME, IIEE, etc., gives you 15 points. In order for you to renew your license, you need to accumulate 45 points.

Those skill specific trainings won't give you much points. In other words, you need to "patronize" the association you are with.

I'm not saying that we should not upgrade our skills and knowledge. It's just that, they should give equal value to other seminars and trainings that are specific to your field. For example, enrolling for a doctorate degree or even a master's degree should have some "weight". Six units in a year, even three, is troublesome to finish compared to attending a three-day seminar.

What in the world am I doing here again? This is politics! I better get out of here.

But yes, spot on.

My 6 months of review for a card was put to nothing since i cannot renew it due to the points system. And i rejected the option to pay "additional" just to have it renewed without achieving the necessary points.

In fact, my own further studies opened new doors for me and they only credited it as minor points.

Law is stupid tbh.

That is exactly why it needs to be repealed. Not all professionals have the means and the time to accumulate enough credits. The CPD law was good in theory, but not in implementation.
