They were raring to be sworn in at Malacañang as “presidential appointees.”

And why not? They had already “paid” for their positions.

Interesting to know the profile of the victims, are they current or former greedy govt officials, or simply stupid private citizens? Those are the only reasons I can think of to fall for this scam

The 1st missus being linked to Chinese cartels by prominent ex-bbm campaigners & vloggers is the height of skullduggery. I'm not complaining though. [emoji897][emoji16]

7.6% GDP growth a mirage | The Manila Times

Every single element in the statement is so misleading, even bordering on being fake news, especially the part about "good economic stewardship."

The 7.6 percent growth rate is a bounce-back mirage, a misleading arithmetic due to the steep decline in our GDP (the sum of goods and services produced) in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and its crawling out of that last year.

t was the surprise announcement that followed his assumption to office as president. Nobody expected Bongbong Marcos to appoint himself as secretary of agriculture, a portfolio that he had neither previous experience nor aptitude on.

Less than a week later, what could have been the true motive appeared. On July 6, 2022, the governor of Ilocos Norte Matthew Marcos Manotoc announced that his uncle the new president had released P100 million to open the tomato processing plant in Barangay San Joaquin, Sarrat known as the Northern Foods Corporation (NFC). Releasing P100 million only within a span of one week after assuming office is a shocker. Wait till we see what NFC was all about and the shock transforms into a thunderclap.

It did not take long for Vera Files’ Joel F. Ariate Jr. of UP Diliman’s Third World Studies Center to publish a comprehensive research exposé that could have stirred our curiosity on Marcos Jr.’s self-appointment. It is an apt ICYMI – in case you missed it. Like any Marcos story, the establishment of NFC as a tomato processing plant was a family affair.

^^^I think he is just calling a spade a spade. Beybeyem maybe exercising diplomacy compared to digong's puppet stand with China, but it doesnt mean he is an effective leader of the country. Just look at how messy the government is in running the country now. There is no clear leadership and no tone from the top.

there's no leadership coz he never really wanted to govern a whole country

the goal was only to win the presidential election (goal set by his mama)

as far as he's concerned his job is done mission accomplished

"Ma, what am i gonna do for 6 years?"
