    There's a video of a CNY Family reunion where Imee Marcos "admitted" that they are Chua and Not Marcos. Their Lolo is a Chua daw...


    Marcos's real father was not Mariano but a wealthy Chinese man named Ferdinand Chua. (Marcos would claim that Chua was his "godfather.") Chua was a well-connected judge who was responsible for much of Marcos's unusual good luck as a young man. Among other things, Chua paid for young Marcos's schooling and later managed to influence the Philippine Supreme Court to overturn the young Marcos's conviction for murder.

    changing one's name is nothing new, naman.
    jose rizal changed his, from mercado, to escape the wrath of those in power, according to the history writers.

    in the katipunan days,
    it was urban legended that changing one's name and changing residence, were a means to escape the guardia civil's wrath.
    it worked back then, because there were no xerox machines and photographs were a luxury.
    lopez to lapuz and vice versa,
    cruz to santa cruz,
    aquino to dioquino,
    ramos to ramas,
    etc.
