Nilakad Kay Marcos? Diokno’s Daughter Appointed ADB Director
The possible conflict of interest surrounding the appointment of Charlotte Justine Diokno Sicat as ADB director last year was raised by Philippine Star columnist Jarius Bondoc in his July 14 column.
He noted that Diokno is the Philippine governor for ADB as the finance secretary. He is also the vice chairman of the international lender’s board of directors, who chooses the directors and their alternates.
“ADB directorship is not a government post; the daughter holds a PhD degree. Still the President nominates candidates for director on endorsement of the finance secretary,” Bondoc said.
As an ADB director, Sicat enjoys an annual salary of $221,728 or over P12 million. She also receives subsidies for housing and education, as well as worldwide medical, life and disability insurance on top of pension and home leave.

October 27th, 2023 02:46 PM #2078Watching BBM handing out cash incentives to Asian games athletes, my AF trainer can’t help but recall the time when he was part of the Phil. boxing team that was invited to Malacanang during Pnoys time to meet the president.
The boxers were expecting to go home with at least a few hundred grand to a million, pero they went home empty handed but at least pinag-juice daw sila.🤣🤣🤣
