The retroactive contribution thing with PAGIBIG and SSS is f#ucked up.
If my understanidng is correct, household helpers were classified as voluntary contributors prior to the passage of the Kasambahay Law. Why are employers being made to pay for contributions that was supposedly only voluntary to begin with?
There's nothing in the law which says that coverage with PAGIBIG, SSS and PHILHEALTH are retroactive from date of commencement of employment. Kung ganun din lang, I'd much rather outsource and hire a cleaning lady who comes in every other day to clean the house and do the dishes. Cooked food I can either buy or learn how to do. Laundry can also be outsourced.
