Classes D & E. Example sales lady.

Kaya mahalaga ang show of force to get their attention.

When I started sharing posts pansagot sa Lenlen series, there's this friend who commented something like how sad na naging dirty war na itong election (toxic positivity). And yet she defended Duterte sa akin back then. In my head I'm like, kaya nga kami sumasagot na ngayon kasi may tulad mong supposedly may isip naman at may access sa information pero nabibiktima pa din.

Legarda was an absentee governor according to my friends in Iloilo. I still remember her back in 2010 when she ran for VP and during a forum she claimed to be an Ilonggo, Manuel Roxas then spoke to her in Ilonggo and she could not answer back.
Nice modeling paper (using game theory) about "fake news" by Alexander Stewart of Univ of St. Andrews.
Title: The coercive logic of fake news
Link: [21 8.13687] The coercive logic of fake news
Highlights:
1. Publishers who seek to spread misinformation can generate high engagement with falsehoods by using strategies that mix true and false stories over time, in such a way that they serve more false stories to more loyal readers. These coercive strategies cause false stories to receive higher reader engagement than true stories – even when readers strictly prefer truth over falsehood.
2. Publishers who seek to promote engagement with accurate information will use strategies that generate more engagement with true stories than with false stories.
3. Engagement is negatively correlated with perceived accuracy among misinformation sites, but positively correlated with perceived accuracy among mainstream sites.
4. If a publisher incorrectly assumes that readers prefer falsehoods, their resulting publication strategy can itself manufacture greater engagement with false news – leading to a self-reinforcing cycle of false news promotion.
5. In order to effectively understand and combat misinformation, it is not enough to study how people engage with news in isolation - academics and policy makers must consider the strategic interplay of those who produce and consume (mis)information.
Note: the paper is still in preprint version (not yet peer-reviewed).
Mapapa-P.I. ka talaga seeing Robin Padilla in the top 12. It's bad enough that we have Lito Lapid in there already and mabuti si Willie Revillame had the good sense not to run.
