    at one time, there was this suggestion in the halls of legislation, to ban those without legal address, i.e., informal settlers, from voting.
    for some unknown reason, the suggestion never got anywhere.

    I remember Winnie Monsod once explained this on air. Parang along the lines of basic human rights ang voting (right to suffrage) hindi papasa sa constitution ito. I wish I could find a video of that maganda explanation nya.

    It would have sounded like a good idea but then again we are in democracy which means everyone has his or her say and right even if we don't like it.

    Kaya nga bawasan na yun pwede nilang ibotong basura sa Senate. Bumoto sila sa local district nila para sila lang ang affected sa mga binoto nila.

    Ang lalakas ng loob nitong mga clowns na tumakbo kasi alam nilang makakakuha sila ng maraming boto sa tao. Sa bagay, keep the people uninformed and you have trapos thriving everywhere.
