I still think it will be a hell of a ride for PH for the next six years. Siguro it will be ok until next year dahil spill over ngayon but after... To each his own.

If he's true to his word and jails Binay for plunder and other forms of corruption he'll have my respect.

The most important bill or law of them all that will change the government entirely IMO

he would sign the freedom of information bill and order all government agencies to be open with the public.

Yeah I wouldn't mind if every city be made to adopt these and strongly enforce them....

Change is coming: Duterte may impose curfew on minors after 10pm, ban loud karaoke and liquor sale after 1am

Soak this news up with an ice-cold bottle of breakfast beer — because you still can.

Change is coming, indeed. Presumptive President-elect Rodrigo Duterte is considering a ban on liquor sales and loud karaoke use nationwide, as well as a curfew for minors starting 10pm.

According to his spokesperson Peter Lavińa, the mayor wants to replicate a Davao City ordinance that prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages from 1am to 8 am.

"We have to work the next day, all the waiters, the staff of the restaurants and hotels have to work, as well as the customers," he said. Dear call center people who finish work in the wee hours of the morning — suck it up.

Duterte is also eyeing a nationwide curfew for minors starting 10pm — for unescorted minors.

"The curfew is principally for minors, unescorted minors past 10pm. It does not bar minors with their parents and their guardians," Lavińa said. "This is to make sure that our children are in their homes or sleeping already to prepare for the next day school," he added.

The other plan revealed in an interview on May 10 — Duterte may impose a ban on loud karaoke starting 9pm. Yeah, we can get behind that!

According to Lavińa, these three measures may be adopted nationwide after consultation with concerned parties. With reports from ABS-CBN News and ANC.

Basher wishes ‘evil’ Leni Robredo had died instead of Jesse

Of all the “vicious” attacks on social media that administration vice presidential candidate Leni Robredo received, it was someone wishing that she died instead of her husband Jesse that tested her patience.

In an interview with Jessica Soho on GMA News TV’s State of the Nation, Robredo recalled how she almost responded to a netizen’s post on Facebook, telling her that she was “evil” and that she should have switched places with Jesse when the latter died in a plane crash in 2012.

“May nagpost sa Facebook na ‘napaka-evil mo. Sana ikaw na lang ‘yung nasa eroplano noong bumagsak, hindi ‘yung asawa mo,’” said Robredo.

The Camarines Sur representative said she received the harsh comment when she started leading in the unofficial tally of the votes for the vice presidential race, overtaking Senator Bongbong Marcos.

“Na-tempt na akong sagutin na ‘hindi mo lang alam na noong bumagsak ‘yung eroplano ng asawa ko, everyday every night winiwish ko na ako ‘yung nasa eroplanong ‘yon,” she said.

But Robredo, who was thrust into politics after Jesse, the former Interior secretary and mayor of Naga City died off the Masbate coast, said she chose to ignore it and “see the bigger picture.”

“Ano ‘yung bigger picture? Hahayaan mo bang ma-drag down ka nung mga hindi mabubuti” Syempre kailangan ‘yung focus mo hindi nawawala kasi andito ka para makapagsilbi ng tao,” she said.

Robredo said she had been learning how to deal with “vicious” attacks against her—one of this is practicing restraint.

Some supporters of Marcos are accusing Robredo and the Liberal Party of rigging the partial tally of votes provided real-time by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) as Robredo holds a slim lead against Marcos.

The latest from the Comelec Transparency Server at 10:38 a.m. showed Robredo with 13,943,334 votes while Marcos had 13,718,008 for a 225,326 lead.

Yes, it's appalling. I'm starting to think millennials don't have and will never have a damn clue.

^general vic loot is a former colleague and a good friend. we talked over the phone yesterday and i congratulated him. he likened his 7 votes win against the incumbent, mayor itok corro, to a shot from the half court by steph curry.
