Erap endorses Grace Poe and BB Marcos.

Erap is choosing someone that will let Junggoy go once elected. That's it, not gonna vote for Poe na talaga.

Magulang talaga itong si Erap. He endorse yung malaki ang chance manalo according to survey. Si Negro at Mar eh laglag na sa survey, so no point to endorse anyone of them.

This SHOULD work the other way...

A former President, convicted of plunder,- endorsing GP should be a wake-up call to all law-abiding citizens who are supporting her.

Unless our morality as a nations is down the drain. I hope not.

And both profess the time-tested bond between their families... inaanak, ninong, kumare, kumpadre....

Junggoy is smiling ear to ear in the sidelines,- also his kumpadreng Bong. So is Ipeng, Amay Bisaya, Rez Cortez, Tito Sotto as they now see a great coalition....

    Same is true with Bongbong...

Just to refresh your memories,- in one of the video footages before the end of FM's rule and before Malacanan was vacated by the Marcoses,- FM was speaking in front of a camera on national TV, with all of the MM Mayors standing behind him.... Yes,- one of them was ERAP.

This is the CANCER in our Philippine politics and moral people should work together to put a stop to this,- again not for ourselves, but for our children and our posterity.

Comic book showing ‘hero’ Roxas during ‘Yolanda’ draws flak

A comic book that tells the life story of administration presidential bet Manuel “Mar” Roxas II, which has become viral on social media on Monday, has been hit by critics for supposedly whitewashing Roxas’ lackluster performance in the aftermath of Supertyphoon “Yolanda.”

The comic book, titled “Sa Gitna ng Unos,” was first distributed during the birthday celebration of Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) chairman Ayong Maliksi in Cavite on Sunday. Photos of the comic book were posted by reporters covering the Liberal Party campaign.

The booklet cover showed Roxas herding people to safety as big waves swept away people and houses.

The comic book detailed how Roxas was thrusted into the political limelight following the death of his brother, former Capiz representative Gerardo Roxas Jr., his achievements as a public servant and his performance during “Yolanda,” typhoon “Ruby,” and the Mamasapano operation. The booklet ends with Roxas getting the endorsement of President Benigno Aquino III.

One of the panels in the comic book said that despite the harrowing scene of devastation left by “Yolanda” in Eastern Visayas, Roxas still led the relief operations there.

The comic book even said that Roxas almost lost his life while in Tacloban City.

“Muntik-muntikan ng mapahamak si Mar sa lupit ng Yolanda (Mar almost died at the height of Yolanda’s onslaught)!”

Roxas supposedly told people to seek cover before the ceiling in the building collapsed: “Bilisan nyo! Babagsak na ang kisame! Sa ilalim ng mesa, kubli kayo (Hurry up! The ceiling would collapse! Seek cover under the table)!”

However, the retelling of Roxas’ response during “Yolanda” did not sit well with his critics.

Manila Times columnist and author Katrina Stuart Santiago slammed Roxas for supposedly rewriting history.

READ: LP leader admits Roxas bid haunted by ‘Yolanda’

“Now Mar Roxas is a hero in his own comics, which is so obviously about the strongest storm to ever make landfall, and so obviously NOT about how he and his government messed up rescue, relief, and rehabilitation efforts in Samar and Leyte. Ito na marahil ang pinakanakasusulasok sa lahat ng nakita kong lumabas sa eleksyon na ito (This may be the most disgusting material that I have seen in this election),” she said in a Facebook post which was shared by more than 2,000 people and liked by 6,400 users as of this writing.

Meanwhile, Bagong Alyansang Makabayan secretary general Renato Reyes Jr., who shared Santiago’s post, dismissed the comic book as a “work of fiction.”

“Well, kung batay sa tunay na pangyayari, dinatnan ng bagyo si Mar habang nasa hotel. Nung humupa ang hagupit, wala siyang satellite phone. Cut-off siya sa mundo. Kinailangan pang mag-martsa ang AFP mula Calbayog para abutan siya ng sat phone,” Reyes said.

(Well, based on what really happened, Mar was inside the hotel when the supertyphoon struck. When the weather rage subsided, he had no satellite phone. He was cut off from the rest of the world. The AFP had to march from Calbayog so they could hand Roxas a satellite phone.)

For her part, journalist Lottie Salarda slammed the depiction of Roxas in the comic book as a hero.

“I was there. Many survivors were there also. I was even present during the press conference where he said that there will be a meeting at 8:00 a.m. on November 8. Meaning, he NEVER knew that the storm will hit as early as 5 a.m. Tapos ngayon HERO siya? Wala siyang alam (And now, he’s a hero? He doesn’t know anything). It will be between his story and our stories,” she said.

READ: Roxas evasive on ‘Yolanda’ queries

Sought for comment, Koalisyon ng Daang Matuwid spokesperson Ibarra “Barry” Gutierrez III said that the comic book does not intend to whitewash Roxas’ performance in the aftermath of “Yolanda.”

“Sec. Mar’s actions before, during, and after Yolanda are well-documented and a matter of public record. His performance during the two weeks he spent at ground zero of the strongest typhoon in history has been repeatedly scrutinized and everything that he did has been clearly established.”

“The truth in this matter is clear, and he stands by his record. There is no need, nor desire, to ‘whitewash’ any part of it,” Gutierrez told INQUIRER.net in a text message. RAM

Comelec will be spending additional P1M+ for the scissors (pamutol sa resibo) & P22M more for Comelec's t-shirts to be worn by employees & BEI during the election.

Grabe yung P22M.

Last February, Comendador first shared the cover for the comic book , which drew varied reactions online over its dramatized depiction of Roxas' role during the onslaught of super typhoon Yolanda in 2013. Even then, the artist said he was merely doing his job.

If the guy is financially sound, then your correct. But if he ain't then i won't blame him. A hungry stomach will do anything at least it was still a descent job though the contents does not sound right for the majority of us.

    2. Agree with bro.Ry_Tower,- Poe has an arguably heavy baggage,- Erap, and the minions of FPJ movie-friends/kumpadres who may not directly approach her,- but will definitely approach their friend and kumareng Susan.... That is scary....

I'd like to see Junggoy released... then jailed again a 3rd time around.

On another note, i'm very disappointed with some people who post supposedly pro-Duterte articles left and right which do nothing more than bash the LP standard bearer rather than promote Duterte or his plans should he be elected. A quick look into the sources of the articles or info posted in most cases would show how dubious the info is, and it makes the poster look even more stupid.
