for verification, i think. na tama ang na read or na count ng machine. say na shade mo si candidate X, sa receipt makikita mo na si candidate X nga yung binoto mo. ang hindi ko lang alam e bakit hindi talaga pwedeng i-uwi or picturan man lang.
I voted na nga pala, absentee voting. so after napasok na yung ballot sa machine, lalabas yung receipt. i-cut nila then itutupi making sure na di nila (BEI) makikita at iaabot sa iyo para "i-check" daw kung tama. after looking at the receipt, kukunin nila ulit yun at i-drop sa isang box (parang drop box with certain label, di ko nabasa).
now here's my question, what if, say ang binoto mo e si candidate X tapos lumabas sa receipt candidate Y...pwede kayang pabuksan yung machine para kuhanin ulit yung ballot mo?
add: I don't know if sa absentee voting lang - walang thumbmark and ink sa kuko na nilagay. tinignan lang ng BEI yung ID ko at pinapirma sa list (the list shows my picture, my signature) then siguro compare nila kung ako yung nasa picture at kung magkamukha yung pirma ko (pirma sa computer during registration).Last edited by xagent_orangex; April 13th, 2016 at 04:15 PM.

April 13th, 2016 04:15 PM #1195Nope, you can't have the machine opened. It's either you are wrong (you forgot who you voted for) or the machine is wrong. The machine was supposed to be tested and guaranteed to count your votes properly. What you can do at most, I think, is to have the election supervisor note the discrepancy.

April 13th, 2016 05:11 PM #1198Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is leading in the survey, not because he offers change, as every presidential candidate is promising it, but because he understands human nature*and learns a valuable lesson from his good friend Reverend Apollo Quiboloy, the self proclaimed "Appointed Son of God," from Ruben Ecleo, Sr., founder of PBMA, who was trained by "voices" to read and write Arabic, Hebrew, Sanskrit, and Aramaic, in order to interpret the ancient mysteries, from Mike Velarde, the Servant Leader of El Shaddai. These three have a common denominator, and that is, they will bring their flocks, their followers all to heaven if they believe in them. Most us believe in heaven, in paradise, and the after life.
The same pitch used by Mayor Duterte: Vote for me because I will eradicate crimes and get rid of corruption. Our streets will be safer. Your daughters will come home safe and sound. Your sons will not be lured into drugs and become responsible members of our society. Your taxes will not be stolen from you. I will deliver you from all these evils.
Every day we are bombarded with news in print, broadcast, or on radio, of crimes and corruption committed with impunity. And, now, here is one person, a messiah, who will keep us away from harm.
No wonder he is number one, no wonder that a good number of our people is enamored with him, with religious frenzy. He did it by sleight of hand. Of course, he cannot eradicate crimes, much less wipe them out in six years. Of course, he cannot get rid of corruption in government, unless he will dismiss the 1.2M government employees and replace them with new ones who are incorruptible.
Humans generally drawn to magic. Mere mortals, like us, like, if not love, magicians. That is why David Blaine is very popular. That is why people love Harry Houdini or David Copperfield. Magic is not reality, but magic suspends reality. People are mesmerized by TRICKS pulled off by these illusionists and necromancers.
By saying that he will eradicate crimes in six months, Mayor Duterte put himself in the category of a magician. He cannot possibly do it in reality.
We have here a magician, an evangelist who is leading the presidential race. It is only a matter of time that he will become president unless our people will wake up from their Rip Van Winkle-like sleep.

April 13th, 2016 05:13 PM #1199Common denominator of all Presidentiables and VPs is “CHINA bullying”. We need to ask them what will be their prerogative after UNCLOS decision and continued China bullying of our fishermen in WPS. and where in their priority list does this PROBLEMs belong. And how will he/she plans to tackle it. All are so mum to touched this issue so are the big businessman and Media groups thinking that it is a simple problem..

April 13th, 2016 05:21 PM #1200so how do you think the presidentiables should tackle them. what is your solution. a citizen who loves his country should not merely point out the problem but must be part of the solution, or at least must suggest a workable and holistic solution.
is it not that case has already been filed and is now pending at the hague?
