I squeezed out 160 once on the dmax on a very short instance along NLEX.

not ideal for long drives bec of the noisy engine aside from the harsh suspension. but well suited for unpaved rural roads(and the craters of Manlia ) very thrifty though and it has loads of torque!!! great for going uphill(like baguio)

mga 155kph on a diesel renault clio sa autobahn. rented car, wala nang ibang mura kasi weekend(gusto ko sana subukan yung golf). pwede pang bumilis kaya lang may buzzer pag 150, tinapos ko lang yung overtake ko. bagal pa nga yun, dami nagagalit sa akin at pinatatabi ako dun sa lane na katabi ng shoulder.

If I recall we maxed out our, then 3yr old, Pregio 3.0 Matic at only around 130-140kph at NLEX. Full step na sa gas pedal. Had 6 passengers plus some luggage.

as for the engine noise during high-speed run- i think depende sa driver yun kung hanggang saan nya ito-tolerate. as for my experience, given enough 'bwelo' saka consistency sa tapak sa accelerator, talagang bibilis nang husto ang diesel. though not as fast as gas engines. just remember how to use the torque band and you'll be fine. :D
