The Matrix definitely would top out at 170... suprised it doesn't go faster, but with the gearing and the redline as it is, I guess that's it.

Remember guys, speedometers aren't very accurate above 120kph, especially with our AUVs / SUVs, as the tire sizes are wildly different... and handling for these vehicles won't cope with high speeds very well, so keep it slow unless you have a very open road and a very flat surface...

that said... personal max 140kp/h Crosswind XUVi, on the North Expressway, just before being overtaken by a Tamaraw FX. :lol:

Di nga, eh... took me almost ten minutes of foot-to-the-floor acceleration just to get to 140km/h... atsaka off-road tires ang XUVi, di puwedeng pang high speed na matagal... siguro when we finally change those tires, am thinking of getting less bling-y mags and road tires para di siya masyadong unstable sa south express.... sa north expressway ko lang naibirit dahil super-smooth at di crowded ang road.

Nasubukan ko 4JG2 na Trooper sa NLEX 140kph, walo ang sakay nasa 3,000rpm. The vehicle can still do more but I give in.

for some kasi, especially to those used to drive petrol, ang diesel matagal talaga bumilis. di gaya ng gas, sweet-revving ika nga. pero napansin ko sa diesel, once you get the momentum saka when you gt used to the noise, mabilis din. lalo kapag may turbo. just so, take the time to learn the sweet spot ng engine for maximum power and acceleration.

ako ang gawa ko sa dmax, hinahayaan ko lang sumipa yung turbo by keeping a steady foot on the accelerator. ok naman so far. kayang kaya humabol.

140/kph yung speed ko sa Nclex driving my mom second hand Japanese Nissan , kala ko siga na ko sa kalye bigla na lang my nag overtake na...TOYOTA FORTUNER. he he he feeling ko naka parada lang ako.

just this evening I needed to go to SM batangas reached vito cruz cor south super at 7pm reached sm batangas at around 830PM then left sm for greenhills at 9pm arrived at greenhills at 1045PM. I was amazed at my strada pick-up performance at the south super and at the star tollway. Max speed I got at south super/ Skyway was 145kph. But at the star tollway towards batangas I reached 150kph what shocked me was the going back to manila I reached 165kph at 4,600rpm nearing the red line. Never thought I could reach that speed and I was using a bridgestone M/T tires and the only modification is added a secondary fuel filter (used a kia pregio), 1 passenger and no cargo but I have a camper shell Sayang forgot to bring my digicam to record this speed.

ako highest ko so far in a diesel suv is nung pinadrive ako ng kapatid ko 1st time ng everest.. mabagal lang on a highway sa may valencia bukidnon.. 110kph.

top speed ko so far overall is 172-174kph.. at startoll, north super and skyway using the rav4

shade under 185kph didn't really look at tach but it was probably nearing 4.5k rpms - one of the long stretches of highway here in mindanao - using the 3.2 DID turbo intercooled current generation pajero - very stable and may pull pa but i was running out of road so i had to slow down. its hard din here kasi marami obstacles suddenly crossing the road - cows, dogs, goats, chickens, etc.-hehe

155kph * 3,600rpm driving our 2.5litre hilux while racing against a 1.5g vios from Sta Rosa ext to Filinvest around 1:30am last sunday. But I feel that it can go as fast as 165kph but nakakatakot na the highway is bumpy and very dark.

Natalo ako hangang dun na lang kaya ko patakbuhin but I was surprised that I have outpaced the vios from 100kph onwards. He probably shifted a bit earlier.
