Just a reminder: Never ever use the Frontier in 4wd on paved surfaces. Masisira ang 4wd niya kung walang 'slippage' ang surface. Saka na explanations kasi malapit na lunch ko. :mrgreen:

Yung SS4WD ng Pajero ay pwedeng i-shift from 2h to 4h at any speed under 100km/h. Gumagamit ito ng electronics at vacum para maging seamless ang shift from 2h to 4h. Mayroon din itong center differential para pwedeng gamitin on paved roads as a full time 4WD system.

But you still have to stop to lock the center diff or to shift to low range for serious off roading. Ang top speed ko ata sa lahar in 4L ay wala pang 80kph.

Ito naman kapag naka-on RWD pa din unless makadetect ng wheelslip saka pa lang mag-fe-feed ng power sa front axle. Sa Isuzu itong system na ito. Kaya doon sa indicator parang bar graph yung front wheels. Dumadami ang ilaw habang dumadami ang torque sa harap.

Pwede din ata siyang i-lock na naka-4wd.

yung TOD lockable in 4WD with a 50/50 torque split only in low-range. otherwise, dynamic ang torque allocation... para na ring full-time 4wd in effect. according to expert johnqpublic sa AI board, very good system daw ito, even for off-roading (at very good din daw ang trooper sa off-road)

lui::: damage is totally dependent on your driving and what path you take :D But from what ive heard Yung Nov 30 novice trail lang so i guess pwedeng pwede frontier mo na walang damage :D

Hindi pala pwede sa paved road ang 4wd ng Fortuner. Kahit 4H? Pano yong mga older model na Pajero/Montero na wala pang SS4WD hindi rin pwede on paved road?
