Hero::: Di ko po kasi naabutan si Mr. Diaz that day. Kakaalis lang daw nung pumunta ako. :? (a matter of wrong timing?)

:twisted:

Si Ser kimp0y expert sa PVC pipes!!! :D
But Otep's idea is ok too!

November 10th, 2002 07:37 AM #15Mga bossing,
Hindi naman sa kumokontra ako, pero there was once an article I read that the PVC's are good and easy to get sana kaso they are not thermally stable....at a certain temp (which they did not mention) the PVC will realease gas vapors (by-products ng raw mat ng PVC) that could be harmfull daw (I just don't know kung dun sa tao o sa engine)?
But then again, this could just be a myth..... (any chemist around to substantiate this?!?)
A comment from a mechanic/4x4 hobbyist said to me that if I add a snorkel, just make sure that you seal the connections very well, otherwise it would be useless.
My 2 cents.

wildthing::: youre correct. pvc will release some chemicals. its not intended to be exposed to heat kasi. but these chemicals will not be harmful to engines.
on sealing the snorkel.... that goes without saying pare! without sealing, it will not only be useless but you can also kiss the engine goodbye hehehe :D
all:::
on snorkels pa rin..... ako personally ayoko magpalaga coz IMHO, wa poise tignan. I guess Otep's suggestion is the best for me :wink:

I think I feel a Chrismas project coming up. :mrgreen:

:D Mahirap tanggalin coz you have to remove the flare..... na naka rivet. After removing the flare, remove the screws connecting the fender to the body. Masyadong marami to metion e. after that, youre basically home free! :D
