Ok lang kids, may hotel naman (bring lots of warm clothing for them) . Complete din naman ang facilities ng mga inns. Pedeng bumaba ng Sunday yun may tight schedules. You'll just have to start early to cover as many sites as you can.

It's been 5 yrs since we last visited this place. Coming back with a group will be something different. Weather colder, much, much cleaner than Baguio, cheap lodging and food. Lots of places to go to.
regards nga pala to Tess.

I've been there this summer, brought the 4x2 trooper. Will add a few more travel notes:
1) Travel time to Banaue is 8hrs, Banaue to Sagada is another 3hrs. Take a road map or atlas w you, like the E-Z map, Luzon edition- gives you a lot of travel info.
2) Last place to fill up w gas or diesel from a "decent" station is at Solano, nueva viscaya- right before the ascent to banaue.
3) Check your tires and air pressure- i'd say no more than 32psi on an suv to tackle rocky road from banaue to sagada. It's only 60km but takes about 3hrs so aver speed is only 20-25 kph. We had 2 silverados w the group which had 4 flats on this stretch- it was more of their lousy general tires. All those on jap tires had no problems.
4) I took the sagada to baguio-halsema route back- don't recommend it in the rainy season. It's 150kms but took 6hrs and possible landslides, road cuts in some areas. It was the last 3hrs that was bad.
5) Main group returned on a sunday thru banaue. They left at 9am from sagada and arrived in manila past midnight due to traffic in bulacan and NLEX- so leave early on a sunday!
tuloy po. nag set na kami ng vacation ni tess for those days. same situation din pala as 1998 when we last went up there. thanks, jackaroo. I have maps of luzon and sagada. those with tight scheds can motor back to manila on sunday.
jackaroo. ano observation mo sa general tires, mahina ba pag dating sa rough roads? Di pa naman msydo pudpod? Kakabili lang kasi ng bayaw ko ng General para sa pajero nya eh. wrong choice ba?
