    Bro yung sa website ok yung project na yun if you can get the parts and masipag ka to install it. I do this for industrial machines. As you can see sa site nasa injector yung install nung sensor. You are are basically getting the rev/min of a shaft using a reflective material and a photosensor. Dun sa sensor you have 2 wires for supply and a single wire for output na naka kabit sa analog tachometer. yung alternator mo may W na wire? you can place a voltmeter measured against ground to see ano yung output dun. try revving the engine and see the output. kung wala or erratic then most prob its a frequency output (pulses) or digital output(on/off). Post the connection nung tach mo and the alternator and lets see how we can do it.

    il post pics tom succesfull naman , may correction lang po pala , ung brand nung nabili ko is autogauge , nabili ko sa concorde for 3.2kphp .

    para sa mga gsto mo maglagay ng tach sa 4d56 , eto po ung gagawin
    1. buy a diesel tachometer (auto gauge na brand sa concorde avail.)
    2. check kung may W terminal ung alternator pag wala ask an automotive electrician to make one for you basically you just tap wires on the diodes.(wizzard does this *800php kasama baba ng alternator)
    3. tapos connect the wires na follow the manual of the tach adding a fuse to the positive terminal of the tach would really be benificial.

    just an update on the installation , ung wires sa gilid ng injector pump can be used as source ng rpm , i have just tested it a while ago , it works better and more accurate than the ones in the alternator, all u have to do is tap ur tach on the white wire on the side of the injection pump.
    the other connection was made sa alternator ko , they made me a W terminal , most auto electrical shops could do it

    2 wires coming from the injection pump? wheres the connection of the other one?

    the wires are colored black and white the black one is just a negative , nasa side cya makikita

    sir gary tama ba na redline ng 4d56 would be at around 3.5 up ? kc im maxing my rpms at 4000 ano kaya ung safe na pag sesetan ko ng redline nya ? ay tska kuha nga pala ako ng biodiesel from you mga next week po sir pagkakkuha ko ng allowance :D 1320 20 liters di ba sir ? :D

    2 wires from the sensor, you said the other one is negative and the other also to tachometer. So no need to supply 12v to sensor???

    no , ur typical aftermarket tachometer has 4 wires , usual colors are
    black = negative
    red = positive - usually tapped at the ignition switch
    white = backlight of the tach - usually tapped at the park light
    green = tach sensor - this is tapped in the wires at the side of the injection pump or the W terminal of the alternator

    i replaced the engine of my paj from gas (4g54) now to diesel (4d56t), tried following this thread, but to no avail my tacho still doesnt work.... anyone have leads on a shop that could do this for me?? tia!

    sir baka you are still using the stock tachometer on your pajero , kasi sir iba po yung tachometer ng diesel at gas , i suggest na bili kayo ng dash ng pajero na diesel . or buy a diesel tachometer then follow the instructions that i posted , if you have questions pls feel free to msg me :D il be glad to help

    tnx, talagang bang magkaiba kahit OEM??? based on your instructions kasi only one wire is used for the signal, same with my OEM....

    i hope i can make this stock tacho work, i prefer to keep my interior looking stock.

    pareho lang po talga yung wiring concepts ng gas and diesel tachs , dati i tried using din yung tach na pang gas it doesnt wrok on my 4d56, then i learned na iba yung signal na binibigay ng gas na tach sa 2pulses then sa diesel naman eh 1 pulse / revolution. so buying an oem panel na galing sa 2800 na pajero basta tama yung pag wiring gagana na yung tach mo sir :D
