RWD vehicles like pick-ups and the Xwind will fishtail easier in the wet especially with a light rear... Never step on the gas on a slippery turn until you're entire car (rear wheels) is facing the direction you want to go.

    revogsx,

    ano yung LSPV?

ang alam ko lang is EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution), which calculates the braking force depending on the vehicle's load.

I did a 180 degree skid in a 2003 Trooper with ABS... dont know how I did it but im sure the ABS are working (at least on a straight line)?!!

Just happened last month in White Plains Ave... came from edsa and a bit speeding... saw a truck w trailer on the right side, so plenty of space, I didnt slow down...

When I was near the trailer... nag U Turn ang Truck blocking ALL lanes... the only thing I can do is slam on the brakes... medyo kulang ang preno so I considered to turn a little to the right... it will be the 1st lane to be cleared... to my surprise... the trooper skidded and I ended up facing the other way... kala ko tataob! but at least hindi... nag slow down na from the time I slamed on my brakes...

But I still dont get it WHY i turned that way... some of my friends are saying my car's rear end was light (was alone)... and my rear wheels were actually lifting from the road so the ABS was not working to its full potential...

So moral of the story, ABS can only do so much (at least for SUVs with light load)

But im quite sure, ABS will work 100% in a car... medyo questionable ngayon sa akin ang ABS sa SUV.... but still better than none.

Let me know if there are other reasons why I skidded, considering I have ABS... even up to now, Im stumped?!

I end up facing to the direction of Munoz.
