agri? ok yan... kailangan natin ng mga professional agriculturists -- we are an agricultural country after all... saka para ma-manage mo ng mabuti yung hacienda nyo ...o diba? :lol:

gudluck sa college mo. tip ko lang sa yo, di basta basta agri... meron akong pinsan who took agriculture sa UPLB --dami daw sinasaulo at dina dissect na halaman. yun nga lang nag specialize sya sa horticulture ata yun? yung breeding ng orchids and rare plants... ewan. kunin mo yung business agriculture or better yet... agricultural engineering.

That's good!!!

Grad ako sa LB na BSA (animal science major) specialize ako sa nutrition ng hayop (kakaiba ba!?!) and I practice my profession din.

Eto lang ang masasabi ko...BSA is generally a field job...don't expect an office/desk job dito....challenges are very good. Growth potential is very good too.

Background required....mahilig ka dapat sa science... depended sa major field mo you might need a lot of chemistry (inorganic, organic - orgasmic na rin :lol: - at biochemistry).....basic din ang genetics (higher biology ito specific sa breeding - uy marami akong natutunan dito pati yung ayaw ituro ng erpats ko - he,he,he :twisted: )

Should you choose to decide to pursue this career and might need some help...text me na lang....you know my number diba?!?

Di ko nakita earlier post mo.....'di mo kamo kinaya....maraming way to get into UPLB.....have you checked your GPA sa entrance test? If your GPA is high enough (like almost near sa 2.0 - dati sa 2.66 lang ang requirement ng UPLB) you could still get a course in LB....sa non-quota programs nila then mag-shift ka na lang after a semester or 2.

Go check your scores muna.....I am bias but hindi ko marecommend ang LaSalle or formerly GAUF, kasi iba na turo nila dun....hindi na tulad nuong 70's or 80's....sayang lang pera ng erpats mo.....I also have 1st hand in teaching dun about 2 weeks ago (substitute teacher on a special topics)....the students are not even interested in learning....shiyet (unless panget ako mag-turo :?) Secondly, siyudad na location nun e ano pa ang maituturo nila on animals ni kambing wala na yata dun sa compound.

Anyway, mas ma-rerecommend ko pa that you go to CLSU (Central Luzon State U) sa Muñoz, Nueva Ecija. Mas magaling pa turo dun at maganda ang mga recent achievements and developments sa school nila. Ako nga UPLB na, pero pagnaririnig ko ang mga developments sa CLSU e mas naiimpress pa ako dun - grabe na kasi politics sa LB e.

Kung kailangan mo ng tulong how to go there...text me....I might be able to get tips from my friends in my college na may contact dun kun papaano makapasok or pumasok dun.

The best part of it, dahil malayo sa inyo, pede ka sigurong i-authorize ni sir Otomatic na maissuehan ng isang sasakyan (bilhin mo yung PJ in Afrasay) :lol::lol::lol: Pag sa manila ka e pahiram-hiram ka lang.

sir wildthing::: yup i know your number po, di po kasi umabot UPG ko sa cut-off ng LB. pero i'll try to get high grades sa Araneta then lipat po ako LB... im desperate to take up agriculture kaya po kahit saang campus ok lang sakin, besides sobrang lapit po dito ng De La Salle-Araneta.

regarding naman po sa CLSU, dati po may balak akong mag-apply diyan, kaya lang due to lack of time di na po ako makapunta dun, and wala naman po kasi kaming relative or kakilala dun na pwedeng tumulong sakin habang nandun ako. madali lang po ba puntahan yung CLSU? down po kasi website nila nung last visit ko.

oo nga, kung sa Nueva Ecija po ako... i need a ride! :mrgreen::lol:

Congrats Boy2! That's a good course IMO! In the future, we will have shortages in food, so I hope by that time meron ka nang magandang formula para diyan he he :mrgreen:
One of my retirement plan is to have a fishpond and a farm of my own, then parelax relax na lang :wink:
