    hi, all,

we will be going to baguio this weekend or probably next weekday. Hingi lang ako ng advise on road directions. We will take the north expressway, but hindi ko na alam kung saan e-exit.

This is my first time to drive going to baguio. actually my first time to baguio too, so kung may alam kayong magagandang place to visit, paki-advise na rin...

    thanks a lot!

bumili ka ng road map of luzon...yung published by UTP tours. magandang guide yun. Sa National Bookstore meron nun.

exit is at the end of NLEX, sa mabalacat.
tapos merong detour via concepcion ata. most Baguio bound vehicles take that detour rather than passing through Mabalacat town proper.
Di ka naman mawawala dahil well sign posted yung directions going to Baguio. But it would help if you have that road map I mentioned.
before reaching urdaneta, meron uling detour via villasis, asingan towns pero sobra haba nung detour. Kung maaga kayo aalis (3-4 a.m.) I suggest you don't take the detour. Or kung kotse dala mo, don't take the detour, merong portion na rough roads. The purpose of the detours is to skip the town propers which are usually heavy traffic. daming tricycle kasi.
tapos, when you're near Baguio na, don't take Kennon road, masama na kondisyon nya. take marcos highway na lang. less scenic but the road is very good and wider.
It would also help if you buy a city map of Baguio, meron din sa National Bookstore, or even sa gasoline stations along NLEX.
Better if you leave manila early morning, then leave Baguio early morning din.
The trip could take anywhere from 4-6 hours depending on your driving speed, stopovers.

    good luck

Uy... Baguio?

No need to worry about getting lost. most local peeps madadaanan mo alam san papunta baguio. sa NLEX... diretsuhin mo lang yan hanggang dulo. pag asa dulo ka na may option na if you to take concepcion or bamban... then go diretso hanggang rosario la union. once you are there may option ka uli na Marcos hiway or kenon... mas maganda daan sa marcos at wala pang toll fee na 5 pesos hehehe. may flyover pa hehehe.

the road going baguio is not that complicated..
    or sa capas after mabalacat)...

its a busy hi-way kaya marami kang makakasabay..

enjoy your trip and your stay.

i've been there three weeks ago.
traffic in NLEX northward is so uuuuurrrrgggghhhh! dahil ginagawa yung from san simon to san fernando so kung kaya mong umalis ng 2 am gawin mo.

another route is via mcarthur highway - dagupan - san fabian - agoo then marcos highway pero ma traffic sa dagupan eh.

last exit of NLEX, (st Ines yun di ba?)

DON'T TAKE URDANETA DETOUR... ang haba nun...nakakainip at may mga rough roads.

TAKE MARCOS HIGHWAY... Delikado pa sa Kennon road..

    may tutulugan ba kayo dun?
may alam akong mura at ok, kailangang magpa-reserve ka...

in going back to manila, hwag ka bababa ng weekends, matraffic. wala kang problem kapag weekdays. actually kahit paakyat ng baguio walang hassle kapag weekdays. i suggest thursday or friday kayo umakya tapos monday or tuesday kayo bumaba.

puntahan nyo rin yung good sheperd convent sa me minesview park. bili kayo ng ube jam dun. the best ube jam. hindi nakakasuya kahit hindi mo ipalaman. pinapapak lang namin yun. pero meron silang time sa pagbenta. not whole day. pero mga 3x a day ata. 9am, 1pm, 4pm. pero minsan nagiiba yung time.

have a nice and safe trip.

Si Kimps nag see food (when he sees food he eats  ) diet yan, always.

Kaboodle:::when you're in Mines view try mo sa Cora's resto. sarap yon lechon chopsuey nila overlooking pa. try mo din sa swiss baker along session road for breakfast, 50's dinner ganda ng food server na naka skates. Ang dami ng mall so much you can see at night.

I usually drive to Baguio in the evening leave manila at around 5pm. dating kami mga 10pm. as what they've said, take the Marcos hiway route. you'll know if you're near it once you passed a long bridge then a Shell station the hiway curves to the left, do not go straight or you'll end up at kennon road. once you see the Pugo-marcos to the right ng highway that's it. 45 mins is the standard time up to the city. When you see the Pancake house sa Petron, you made it na.

drive safely. the marcos highway route is so wide and paved that some drivers are tempted to occasionally drive beyond the "safe" speed limit.

hmmm...napagod ang fingers ko, masarap siguro ang strawberry, P40-50 ang kilo sa La trinidad valley, habang pumipindot  . last time I went there was after the hi-peaks, March 3.

Maganda siguro umakyat ang tropa. I know a place where we can stay sa Baguio. Tapos deretso sa Ambuklao Dam, then Kabayan caves, kinda short of going up Mt. Pulag. What do you guys think?
