mcjayz::: Maraming malalakas pa na engine na pwedeng ipalit sa 7K. But you will not like it for fuel consumption. AUVs were built for the purpose of urban workhorse not speed. One idea I could think of know is tinkering with it's final gear, from the standard 5.56, you can go 5.29 or 4.88, but this will take its toll on your initial take off. You cannot have the best of both worlds. Either gain top speed and loose lower torque band. Or ample power to take off when fully loaded but hit the 100km/h sooner than expected.

makikiraan lang po at makikigulo lang.

i agree with ungas. the final drive ratio is one of the reasons kung bakit the fx runs out of steam sa top end. toyota did that to compensate for the lack luster output of the 7k engine.

engine swap options...i've seen a 4A-GE swapped into a fx. and how about this for a frankenstein project??? a 4G63 swap

ako i drive a stock 2000 model Mitsubishi Adventure Super Sport A/T at kahit minsan di naman ako nahiya...

saka gustong gusto ng anak ko... for her it is the best car in the world...

try 2L diesel na gamit sa revo ..for me, malakas ang hatak nito.. hanggang 130kph po max speed... yung narinig ko sa province eh 2L-TE daw nilalagay nila sa fx from surf models.. kung laging puno fx po ninyo.. mas oks ang diesel...

kung 1.8 gas (7K) to 2.0gas na 1RZ-E .. wala na siguro noticable difference except sa increase in gas consumption..

maybe a 4AGE engine from corolla eh oks din kung high speed ang gusto ninyo..

tnx guys s rply! and thx sa info n bngay nyo! so there no big diff. din pla s 2.0 1RZ-E. have u guys seen pla yng revo ng africa. condor ata yn. ang alm k e my 4wd n model cla.how come toyota phil. did not intro. this in d phil. market. ms ok sna kng meron. and do u guys know what type of engine ginagamit nila don?
