BULLETIN
March 22, 2002
A new pink colored LLC is being phased into production for all 2002
Japan Built
Toyota models. The color change does not affect the maintenance
procedures or
intervals established for the red coolant. The new pink coolant is
100% compatible
with the current red coolant and red coolant can be used to replace,
top off, or mix in
with the pink coolant with no adverse effects.
I wonder if it's OFFICIAL.
Here's more info relating to coolant protection on soldered brass/copper radiators:
Results of industry standard tests of the new Toyota extended-life (PINK) coolant now show a substantial weight loss (corrosion), both in a 50-50 mix aud in a 33% coolant mixture (solder corrosion is much greater in this more diluted solution).

when you use mitsu coolant on your patrol after a few days you'll notice your patrol's nissan emblem turn into red after a few more days the logo would morph into 3 diamonds if this happens immediately remove the patrol stickers and slap on pajero stickers or else your engine would overheat
ROFL
pag concentrate try to use distilled H20 as your diluent much better because it would have no residue in the long run so hindi magbabara ang radiator mo
i use wilkins 1 or 2 big jugs would do the trick excess can be used to flush the radiator marami sa 7 -11 depende kasi sa capacity ng radiator mo and sa raito ng h20 -coolant usually nakalagay sa label but i believe 60 :40 is good 60% h20
40%coolant

That's the problem I can't find the RED coolant at Toyota Cabanatuan. THe PINK coolant costs 265 per 2 liters (premixed).
Yes you can use absolute or wilkins, in this picture you'll notice there's Absolute in the background:

They say japanese coolants are quite compatible with each other, so using mitsu coolant on a toyota should be OK.
But there are real coolant incompatibilities out there. e.g. if you use silicated coolant (e.g. prestone) on a japanese vehicle (which uses no-silicate coolant) you might have problems...
Or if you use Dexcool on a vehicle that didn't use it before. Or if you mix dexcool with other coolants.

got my radiator flushed kanina..
consumed 2 liters of TOYOTA RED COOLANT mixed with 3 liters of WILKINS distilled water..
Toyota RED coolant * 198/liter = 396
Wilkins 1 gallon = 50
Labor = 137
got an extra bottle para pandagdag...
nakalagay nga dun sa RED coolant container 50:50 mix with TAP WATER lang but i insisted on using wilkins..
Psylocke - meron available na RED coolant sa Toyota Cabanatuan... dun ako nakapagpagawa kanina...ask ka lang dun sa mismong parts officer kasi nung una ay yung premixed ang binibigay sa akin but sabi ko ayaw ko nun and i want the RED coolant..
medyo GOON Squad lang to.. nung pinasok na sa service area yung vehicle ko ay umakyat naman ako sa customer's lounge. from there is kita mo yung sasakyan mo sa ibaba kasi may glass window naman..and makita ko yung mechanic nila na text ng text, dala yung 2 liter ng PREMIXED coolant at ibinaba sa harap ng sasakyan ko... whatttt.. i specifically insisted na RED coolant ang ilalagay tapos PREMIXED yung dala, so baba agad ako and talked to the service advisor. ayun, dali-daling tumakbo sa loob ng service area and pinagalitan yung mechanic nila (na wala pa ring lubay ng kate-text).. good thing nakita ko, pano kaya kung hindi...
that's another story na...
