repair cost estimate

Im about to inherit my sis' 92 corolla 1.6 GLi. Medyo hindi na-maintain yung oto and here are the problems of the car that I will deal with:

1. "Kumukurugkug" na power steering pag inililiko ang manibela
2. Hindi gumaganang power window sa dalawang pinto (naiiwan daw lately na naka-on switch yung power window na hindi gumagana at andar ng andar ang motor kaya nadidiskarga battery ng oto)
3. Ala ng freon ang aircon (bumula daw)
4. Medyo humuhuni na makina (kulang daw sa tune up)

Wow!!! Sigurado akong pati bulsa mo ay kukurogkurog din sa kurog kurog na kotse mo...este corolla pala.

Kung ako sa iyo gagawin mo nalang as a project car. Bumili ka nang total care manual book (like chilton) para sa year ng kotse mo at ikaw nalang ang gagawa. The good thing is, that book provide detailed, step by step instruction, easy to read illustration including a list of tolls you'll need.

Believe me, too many people who never thought they could'nt fix a car with the help of that book, you can accomplish that project cars of yours. Then, tell me if I wrong you. good luck!

let me try to make himay.

1. power steering? a repair kit costs around 3-4k.
2. kung ok pa ang motor, baka switch lang. normally costs around 1-2k. mas mura kung surplus.
3. you have to check bakit nauubos ang freon. compressor? leaks sa cooling coil? considering you have to change everything, mga 16-18k siguro.
4. tune-up costs around 2-3k, kasama na fluids.

Ur "himay" made me decide not to accept the generaous gift of my sister :> and say hello to my newly-acquired 2nd hand 95 corolla gli. ala pang 24 hrs ko naigagarahe, nangamoy gas na garahe namin. and wahlah!, me mapa na ng gas sa semento sa ilalim ng oto. im yet to know kung fuel hose lang ang problema o fuel tank na me leak/crack, pero mga bossing, san kaya magandang magpahinang ng bronze if ever kelangang ibaba fuel tank ko (or me mas magandang remedyo aside from palit ng bagong tank)? lapit po ako sa pasig pero kung the best pa rin sa banawe, pa-advice naman po. tnx so, so, so much!

^^ check muna kung fuel hose lang muna. most probably, yun lang yun.

butas sa fuel tank talaga. nagpaestimate na ko sa malapit na shop sa min, P2,500 ang turing sa kin. Reasonable na ba yun? Bka pede nyo ko marefer sa mas reasonable na shop within pasig area. tnx!

since you said na inheritance o mana sana yung 1st car from ur generous sis, bakit di mo pa inaccept? at least, kahit gumastos ka, mas makakatipid ka pa din as compared to getting another 2nd had car na may problem(s) din.

tsaka di ba mas rewarding pag napa-gana mo ulit yung mga dating sira ng kotse? pag nakita yun ng sis mo, it would be a priceless experience.

mas modelo kasi tong kakabili ko lang. hindi rin kaagad kasi namin nakita yung tagas sa fuel tank kaya nakumbinsi kagad kami. anyway, napaayos ko na yung problem and so far smooth naman ang ride ko. kinakausap pa naman ako ng sis ko kahit tinanggihan ko offer nya & i think she has other plans for the old car http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/images/smilies/agree.gif i-maintain ko na lang tong na-acquire ko and that's rewarding enough for me http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/image...es/biggrin.gif
