Hope this helps.

pangit naman siguro kung gagayahin mo mga gas tanker may kaladkad na chain sa kalsada (to discharge the static electricity) he he. siguro kailangan palitan mo seat cover bka made of wool ito, i think mas ok ang leather (IMO only)

Sometimes it will also depend on the surface and your tires.
Yung isang model ng Michelin na-diyaryo dati sa U.S. because tool booth attendants were getting shocked when they come in contact with the vehicle's driver. Naging OEM yata on certain Accord models yung goma na iyon.

Shocking, it would be a nice if there is someway to control that static electricity and integrated to our vehicle alarm system... it would be a nice deterrence to car thieves...

Our ae92 Corolla does this, but both MBs don't. All cars are in CA, US where the weatheris dry and are in the same household. Even with the AC lowering the humidity in the cabin, my 300D doesn't have any static shock, which is a good thing when filling up (self serve). I'm more concerned of the Corolla, since my mom drives it daily.
Recently I didn't notice getting shocked on the Corolla, however. This probably is seasonal, dahil nung summer and spring lang malakas pero ngayong fall and the coming winter, wala.
It would be different...
