are those cvt reset ek-ek procedures really necessary when battery is replaced? are those procedures found in user manual? i guess not?

i've always thought that ecu's have this capability of relearning on its own after battery is replaced and user drives the car as usual ... after some distance is covered, relearning is done and everything is back to normal
