September 23rd, 2006 04:29 PM #1Guys,
Just need help or some insight to where ang possible problem nitong tsikot ko.
I had a Honda Civic 2000 VTI. Hard Starting sa pero may redondo naman. Minsan 3time to 4 time mo dapat e ignite pro may redondo sya. then prang delayed sya kailngan mo muna redonda matagal saka kakagat
So first kla ko sa batery so nag charge ako then pinatingnan ko ok pa naman daw batery ko sabi baka daw sa alternator..then one of my friend tell me possible din daw sa Starter.
Help naman kung alin possible problem nito ata dapat tingnan so that pag dinala ko sa mechanic may idea ako on where to look at.
Bago lang kasi ako pagdating sa car wala pa ako gaanong alam.
Salamat po sa Tulong. God Bless!

Even if the battery looks okay, it could still be a battery issue. Try to run the car with a new battery (borrow one, maybe) first to see if that's it. I had to replace my battery even though it was supposedly fine, because my car was hard to start.
Heck, I ran 30,000 kms on that battery, and the car was hard to start at least once a week the whole time... since I changed it, I haven't needed more than two clicks since.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

sounds more like the problem is one of those major things you stated... Yeah, start with the battery, even if it visually and technically passes inspection...

hi. got the same problem. my car is honda civic LXi 2000. 1 to 3 clicks before engine starts ang experience ko naman. pero napapansin ko lang po ito usually pag very low na ang gas fuel ko. does a low gas fuel is also related to hard starting problem?
please advise.

September 28th, 2006 04:48 PM #7dapat kahit nakailaw yung gas mabilis parin magstart. baka madumi na yung fuel strainer kaya nahihirapan.

just sharing my experience... i have recently encountered the same problem. it started na hard starting ang engine, then after a few weeks wala ng redondo. click na lang maririnig. tagal magstart talaga as if dead battery na. nagkataon i went to this battery shop late na, mga 6-7pm. checked battery, alternator if charging. ok naman then pinastart ulit sakin, during starting may nakitang spark. loose pala ang terminals ng starter. after tightening the terminal ok na. no problem since then. share lang, baka it may save you from unnecessary expensive repairs.

October 2nd, 2006 11:18 PM #10i had the same prob before sa honda city.. same fuel lines din naman siguro with the civic.. the culprit: fuel filter. you can check it out, baka barado na. it's harder to start the car esp. kung galing sa garahe or hindi umandar ng ilang araw. kung ganyan din nangyayari sa yo, then most likely fuel filter ang prob. 2 yata ang filter ng honda civic.
Puwede i try, 1. Palit air filter 2. Linis throttle body 3. Linis MAF sensor 4. Check spark...
high idle RPM at engine start
