Hard starting problem: Help me diagnose my car

Hello guys, i have a problem with my car. Its a carby, contact point type car.

Lately, i experience hard starting when the car has just been parked for half an hour, when it was just turned off or overnight(kahit kelan hard start na). The engine cranks and all, pero ayaw tumuloy ng start. Even apakan mo accelerator to help the engine start, walang kwenta. I know this is not normal, kasi dati one-try lang okay na.

I also encounter yung parang pumupugak pugak yung oto, even at normal speeds(40kph) or if ihahataw ko.

Carb newly overhauled by A & M
Fuel filter good
Battery good (checked)
Alternator good (checked 14v on idle, 13.8v acc all on)
Timing set already
New contact points/condenser (genuine)
Plugs cleaned
Valve clearance adjusted

Possible problem?
Timing
ignition coil
carb
fuel pump
etc..

please help me, daily driven pa naman ang oto, yari pag tumirik.

what about high tension wires? di kaya tumatalon kuryente? hth

i haven't really checked on that. the engine responds naman when you remove hitension wires from teh plugs.

Bro, try mo ulit check yung battery mo. kung 2+ yrs old na, palitan mo na. Also make sure na mahigpit yung mga terminals. Sana makatulong.

i had the battery checked by a battery shop store. Battery is okay daw. Malakas naman ang crank ng engine. I can say that, kasi nung bumigay yung alternator ng isang oto, nadiskarga ang battery, yun talagang halos di na umikot ang starter.

i havent checked on my started... diba pag defective starter, di man lang mag rotate ito or redondo? if defective, clicking sound lang maririnig right?

same prob... engine cranks but doesn't start.. wala spark.. kaya di ko magamit ngayon ( i even started a thread on that), likewise, pupugak pugak din minsan.. but mine's A/T (97 Mazda familia 323). I might have it rewired or checked for loose connections.. yun nga lang singil nung mekaniko / electrician P3k.. Ewan kung reasonable yung presyo with 6 months warranty naman.

What could be the problem pag pupugak pugak?

the pumupugak pugak problem, solved already. Replaced the ignition coil, okay na. Hard starting still there, pero ibang symptoms naman..

hindi continouos yung crank.. parang kwenk......kwenk......kwenk....kwenk..

yung ..... pause yun...

This happens when the car is warmed up... and you turn off the ignition and turn it on again...

hehehe... i won't i won't... napaayos ko na oto kanina.. loose wiring connections kaya yung iba rewire nung mekaniko.

hiwalay ba distributor mo ska ignition coil? check mo yun. minsan hard start pag barado filter..

i tried to swap batteries with my moms car. tested it today and it worked like a charm.

my battery is defective. it doesnt give the right voltage when the engine bay and battery is already hot, resulting to hard starting and cranking.

my battery is ok when its cold, pag mainit andun ang problema.

pag kwenk3... kung mlakas battery bka sobra advance or rtard ang dstributor at pressure check ung fuel pump para mlaman kung tamang psi prin ang dlvry nya

oh edi ayos na car mo cocoy? battery lang naman pala ang prob, anyways maitnaong ko lang, may nagsabi sa akin na para matignan kung malakas pa ung battery mo is kelangan ishort ung battery, i mean ang ginawa ko is nagkabit ako ng booster cable tapos shinort ko, yellow ang spark, anu ibig sabihin nun? ang sabi sakin pag silver ang spark malakas pa ang battery, is this true??

if you've done all that was posed here and still hard satrting pa rin car mo. try to check for vacume leak. isa rin cause ng hard starting yun and sometime its hard to accelerate at parang pupugak pugak pag may leak ang vacum ng car mo. try to check mga vacume hose, or try to check din yung distributor advancer mo baka may leak na rin at dun nag escape yung vacum.

check your contact point gap. It might be too close.

sa akin sir nilagyan ng relay ung starter ko. before kci pag nagpaBOOM-BOOM habang rolling ok pa cya till makarating sa sa pupuntahan but hindi na cya iistart after. makauwi man ako the next day mauubos ung batt ko sa redondo ayaw magtuloy.
