this is the negative ground kit install that speedyfix's shop did on my vehicle several months ago.

it is the neon green cable from the battery terminal. unseen in the photo are the points to which the cable terminals were bolted to.

    malinis no?

immediate effects of the install were:
    - better a/t shifting response
    - engine ran smoother
    - brighter headlights
    - a brighter sound quality on my stock (lang) car audio system

ginawa ko dati sa corolla ko (DIY lang) laking improvement sa sounds and lights talaga. It's not an upgrade per se naman, but usually kung naluluma yung car tapos napaka humid pa dito satin, madaling macorrode yung mga wires na exposed.

Shouldn't we apply some non-corrosive gel sa terminal para di macorrode? O gold plated na to?

ILD: Usually walang paint na yung OEM mounts. But kung gagawa kang bagong grounding point, then of course, you should.

mga car gurus para san ba ang grounding kit at voltage stabilizer? is this the same with the headlight relay?

nope, very different. the relay allows you to use higher wattage bulbs safely without frying the stock wires/sockets.

grounding kits are used to promote better circulation of electricity throughout the car.

Sa mga ibang audio enthusiast, they clean up (and stabilize) their electrical by putting in large capacitors (sometimes as large as 1 farad!) ...

So, grounding kit + capacitor ... magkano kaya yung ganun?

ALbert: Caps don't stabilize current, it merely stores current in an event of sudden voltage consumption (usually when an amp plays a deep bass note).

Think of it as a water tank.

di po ba same lang 'yon? Kung fluctuating yung voltage mo, meaning po may drops and peaks sa voltage level, the caps will level that off for you by supplying the needed juice back into (or getting from) the electrical? Parang yung sa mga voltage rectifiers sa electronics? Clarify lang po, medyo akala ko po kasi ganun yun?

pero tama po kayo, it won't stabilize the current ... just the voltage lang po.
