mga pros po sa diesel....tanong lang po kung advisable po ba ang pagbuga ng tubig sa tambutso para matanggal ang carbon deposit?(tama po ba ang term ko?)is it good or bad? if ok lang...ano po ba ang tamang paraan? lapit na po kasi ang pa rehistro ng van...may recommendations po ba kayo kung ano ang dapat kong gawin before pa rehistro....of course di po ba kailangan makapasa muna sa emission testing? sensiya na kung medyo matanong...salamat po na marami in advance

    What's ur vehicle?

Ok din lagyan ng 'gripo' as yebo has mentioned. It will be installed near the front end of the exhaust system.

also, i'd think doing this would make your whole exhaust system prone to rust (unless it's made from stainless steel) which will thereby make it break faster.

i'm no diesel afficionado pero i'm interested in finding this out.

    Mabuhay!

IMO, kelangan ng 4D56 ang "gripo". I had one installed in my ex Pajero and i use it to remove the accumulated carbon deposits using a Tide solution. Very very effective. Literal, you can put your face up to the exhaust pipe and you wont feel nauseated.

Total cost ko dito was less than 250 bucks.

Of course, on the downside, dont expect your mufflers to last that long, as they are now more prone to rust.

Dun sa 4M40, di ko na siguro papalagyan as i dont really need it. Wala ngang startup smoke sa umaga eh

To prevent rust, wash the exhaust before using your vehicle. Do not wash it prior to storing your vehicle or parking it overnight.

You can also drill a small hole in the bottom of your muffler is you are concerned about water pooling inside.

tama si otep, rust will accumulate only if water stays in your muffler for a long periods of time. as soon as you use the vehicle, the heat of the exhaust is enough to dry the water left inside of it. be sure lang na naka incline ang ride mo in such a way na mas mataas ang engine mo bago bugahan. change your oil/filter/air filter too. Also check/clean the strainer sa fuel intake ng injection pump. yun van namin dati once a week lang ginagamit (weekend) every year magpapalit ng muffler
