close ventilation all the time in city driving and a/c on. open ventilation lang pag long drive with windows open sa driver and passenger side.
closed all the time, with the quality of our air, I don't see any advantages in opening it...
Here's the catch - when you close the ventilation, it actually does not completely close. Maybe 80% closed or even 90% but never completely 100% closed, to avoid asphyxiation or suffocation from recycled air. This also means you still smell a bit of odor from outside even if it's set to closed, and this also means leaving it closed all the time is perfectly fine since, like I mentioned, it's not really completely closed.
Take note of this for those who love to run the car idling in enclosed spaces, this is very dangerous because even if you close the AC it's not completely closed so exhaust gasses (more importantly, carbon monoxide) can lead to CO poisoning. You're basically inhaling your car's exhaust, but you don't know it, because CO is odorless.
closed din ako...never ko pa ata na try open to? ah 1 time na try kona pala... diko type kaya close ko nalang lagi
When parked outside and the car's interior feels like a pressure cooker due to the heat, I run the aircon at max cooling with the air vents open as outlined in my car's owner's manual. It does help to cool the interior a little faster.
Otherwise, the air vents on my rides are closed.
the vents of my car are closed most of the time. i open them once in a while during long drives out of the city, except when there are trucks, buses, jeepneys, trikes ahead of me that are belching smoke.
or i would roll down the both windows on the right side about 4 inches when the weather is cool to cold, saves on the use of the aircon.
my wife had me purchase an electric fan which can be attached to the louvers of the aircon to help vent the heat out especially if parked under the sun during the day.
don't mind if some think that it makes the car look like a taxi

On some cars the vents open in 20 min interval, you have to manually close it. reason is to prevent driver and occupants from passing out, literally.
