A Honda salesman told me that their cars don't require change oil during its 1st 1000 km maintenance check. Is this true? Are all brand new cars nowadays really like this?

I thought the 1st 1000 km change oil was important since this was the period when the engine was "broken-in".

Is Toyota, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Ford etc. also like this?

for most of the new and recent models, yes; they come out of the factory with fully synthetic oil designed to protect even during and after the break-in period of the engine.

although, optional naman sa yo kung papalitan mo yung langis sa 1,000 km, peace of mind mo nalang yun. for most models, you can also elect to put in less expensive regular semi-synthetic or mineral oil and follow a 5,000 km/6 month oil-change interval.
