Guys, sorry this is a very old thread na, pero instead of creating a new one makikisawsaw na lang ako.

Anybody here who's in the US now bearing a H1B (Working) visa? I have a H1B application that is sitll under process, malaki ba ang chance ng approval rate po?

It's a lottery. There are only 65,000 slots per year. It was filled up on the first day this year.

Panong under process? Are you waiting for the notice of action?

I already got the receipt number po, I can check the status online and the receipt date is April 26, 2007.

I came here on H1B 10 yrs ago, now as permanent resident. When you get your notice iinterviewhin ka sa embassy. Make sure you have your school credentials complete. Haven't heard of anyone being turned down when claiming their visa....unless spurious documents ang dala bec they do background checks on you sa school mo. Good luck!

Coast to coast pala tayo Came here single then got married sa pinas a year after and wifey came back with me. You will be your wife's sponsor so she'll be H4. H4 wont be able to work legally..unless she gets sponsored by a company or when you shift to permanent residents. I have an 8 yr old son born here. Anak ko lang di marunong magtagalog. I work in IT (SAP)

Ok, as the case is being reviewed, they may ask further information or further documents. Mostly galing sa employer. But if sanay na yung employer, kumpleto na yung documents na hiningi sa yo at binigay nila. You just wait for the Notice of Action tapos punta ka na sa Embassy with all the docs.

If you are married and have kids, it is adviseable to apply for H4 visa at the same time, para isang punta na lang. Hopefully, and as it should be, your employer will pay for their visa application and air fare as well.

Now, when you get here, puwede ikaw na lang muna, kasi maghahanap ka pa ng apartment, bibili ka pa ng kotse, etc. Tapos sunod na lang sila. At least that's what I did. Pero it's up to you.

i'd say Michaeli G's charge is reasonable. it took 5 years for my papers to get done as i was sponsored by my employer. (pre 9/11). *20k pero kasama na si mrs. as we got married here. both of us were tourist coming from australia.
his office building is in glendale, i think ventua 134 then 2, exit, i forgot, pero di mahirap puntahan from pasadena. just mapquest it. may kamahalan talaga. i also work in the medical field. i went through a different route (risky) that's how i bought time and was able to get a work authorization visa. iba na ngayon. mas mahirap.
it takes time to process the paperwork, i doubt it if the stay can be extended.

Andito nako sa Bakersfield, CA just arrived 2 weeks ago and waiting for Social Security Number. Anyway, I received my approval (thru USCIS website) nung mga august 2006 (april 2006 ako iniapply). Pagkacheck mo sa USCIS website of the approval, you will then receive a lot of documents from your petitioner (I-797, I-129, LCA, etc). lahat sila ccheck ng VO (visa officer sa US embassy). Kelangan mo dalhin mga original docs like diploma, transcript, resume, etc with the docs na ipapadala sayo. Then go to usembassy website in manila and schedule an appointment for interview. Be ready and review everything na pwede nila itanong. For more info, go to www.path2usa.com Indian website to (in english naman). I would suggest na paghandaan mo talaga yung interview. Nangyari sakin hindi ako handa (my papers like transcript, etc were not original) dahil sa Dubai ako nagpainterview. Goodluck sayo at kung nainterview ka na and ok, well sabi nga ng iba "Filing Filingan na Ito."

Hindi naman. Kaso minsan intimidating mga VO (daw) kaya kahit prepared nakakakaba minsan. I had my interview for 15 minutes but because this is H1B it took me 2 hours. Kaya advice ko lang be prepared, docs ready, mga ilang details ng company alam, pati technical dapat alam din!, be on time, etc. and you will do well. Goodluck sayo brod.

    Hi peeps,
Nakakuha rin po ako ng sponsorship just last week. My friend recommended me to her company in michigan and its an insurance business. I dont know po how much will it cost at kung anu-anong preparations ba ang kailangan kong gawin at asikasuhin while waiting for the petition papers and employment contract. Gaano po ba katagal ang proseso? My case, i am a layout artist so wht do i need to expect po ba?

    thank you.

If you have a master's degree or have a skill or ability that is in demand you can also go via EB2.

    Hi guys! Newbie here!

I just received a job offer in Denver Colorado as a teacher. I am now in the process of submitting some requirements and will schedule a US embassy interview for the h1 VISA.

Totoo po bang 150K or more po magagastos dito?

wala pa po ako contract eh. gusto ko rin po malaman necessary contracts for the interview.

Salamat po sa mga sasagot. ^^ Ingat!
