sabi sa akin ng nissan cabanatuan, they replace, on average, 1 patrol windshield per month, 4 urvan windshields per month.
ganun ba talaga kadalas mabasag windshield ng nissan? yung sa patrol ko, na replaced na yung orig windshield, tapos ngayon meron na naman 2 tama. :mad:Signature

Mahirap naman mag-conclude na may problema ang Nissan sa salamin nila. Dapat alam din natin ang figures ng other dealerships. Siyempre madaming highway diyan. Mahirap iwasan ang mga flying debri minsan.
Yung MB100 namin at 300SD parehong may tama ang windshield galing sa NLEX. Yung star-shped ang hitsura.
Although, totoong nagkaroon ng slight problem ang Nissan with their glass dati kasi hindi laminated ang windshields na gamit nila. Pero it was nothing big.

yun sa gen1 ko nabasagan di ako sa rosales, pangasinan. na replace sa isang glass dealer sa tarlac. di naman siguro sa nissan lang concentrated ang "defect" na yan. pero badtrip talaga yan.

November 16th, 2003 05:34 PM #4I think it does not only involve Nissan. You see it can happen to any car. Even small road debris can crack the windshield. You may not see the crack at first because it may be too small but during vehicle use this crack grows and eventually shatters the windshield. Im not quite sure but I think Republic Asahi Glass Corp supplies most of the windows and windshields of locally manufactured vehicles and I believe they have stringent QC measures for manufacturing glass.

hmmm..never pa naman napalitan ang aking windshield....tinamaan na ito minsan ng pebble galing sa truck na nasa harap ko....buti wala naman nangyari..napaka delikado pa naman nun...
o well...siguro isolated cases lang naman yang defect na yan...

nagulat kasi ako when they told me they always have ready stock of patrol's windshield, every month kasi nagpapalit daw sila. i asked them kasi kung anytime pwede ako magpapalit ng windshield. sabi ko bakit parang mabilis ata mabasag ang windshield ng patrol, pati yung sa isang kakilala ko dito sa amin, nag-crack na din yung windshield. sagot nila, matibay na nga daw ang windshield ng patrol, yung sa urvan daw at least 4 per month ang napapalitan nila.

yung sa kaibigan ko, nabasag din yung windshield ng GU patrol nila sa SLEX...

Racket ng dealer yan. Konting crack palit agad. Pero yung UMC Motors sa Pasong Tamo iba naman, meron silang windshield crack repair, maganda ang gawa makinis naman di tulad yung isang sikat na windshield repair sa QC, inexperienced technician ang gumagawa.

Ungas, how much ang crack repair sa UMC Pasong Tamo? kasi kung mas mahal or pareho sa insurance participation, mas maganda nang palitan nalang buong windshield.

as above, if you want to go OEM-style, get a "spare tyre lock". but i use an ordinary cheap...
