RE. the air filter, malaking bagay sa FC and emissions pag malinis ang air filter lagi. Keep the air filter clean and i-rev mo din ng redline every so often to clear up the carbon build up. I remember my old Frontier, kahit i redline sa first and second gear or while at standstill, walang kausok-usok unless medyo madumi yung air filter ko.

Thnx po sir vinj, and noted po..one more thing, about sa tunog barya sa ilalim e nakita ko na kung saan nagmumula, sa may puno mismo ng tranmision at yung propeller, pero hindi yung cross joint or center bearings, itinaas ko 2 rear wheel at inilagay sa 4th gear na kung saan malakas yung tunog barya.. Sabi ng pinsan ko e may turnilyo daw yun dun sa loob at baka daw yun ang maluwag, maari nga kasi maganda pa ang bearing at cross joint. Pag nakahiram ako ng socket wrnch tom e babaklasin ko.

Alam nyo din po ba panu magpalit ng bulb ng a/c swtch, busted na palagay ko at wala n ilaw pero functioning pa naman yung a/c unit..thnx

Happy New Year! Sir hingi lang po ang advise, a friend of mine selling his Nissan Frontier 2000 A/T and i am planning to buy it. Good condition pa daw yung engine and trans, body paint lang po and accesories kailangan ko paayos and idagdag like step board rear bumper, not working din yung gauge ng fuel, dial lang daw prob. san po kaya ako makakakuha ng mga accesories and parts? ok lang din po ba yung Mud Terrain tires sa regular driving and sa highways? TIA po.

^ Mukhang maraming sakit na yung Frontier mo.

- Frontier has no aux fan.
- The fuel filter (primary and secondary) is changed every 20,000kms (OEM or Baldwin would still be the best option).
- Hindi mausok ang Frontier as long as it has been maintained properly; malaking cause niyan ang pag pabaya ng change oil and fuel filters regularly. Possibly also your injection pump may need servicing and calibration given na medyo may edad na yung sasakyan.
- ATF and differential fluid is changed every 40,000kms. you can refer to the owner's manual for the specifications and all the other vehicle service works info/required).
- Have your a/c serviced; it's not the lack of an auxilary fan that is causing the a/c cooling problems. As for cost, depends on what may need replacement.

Hope you could recommend engine and suspension experts/shops sa gen na ito. Though I think alam naman na ata ng karamihan how to service these.

Btw, Currently searching for Original roof rack for this gen din. Sana may sumulpot.

Kung sa pa-calibrate, from what i know the Nissan guys go to Malabon diesel. If you have power and smoke issues or the car is pretty old na, better to have the injection pump checked and calibrated if needed.

As for suspension, before i used to bring my Frontier to Wheelers Suspension Haus in the Banawe area. It's pretty straightforward to repair really. Shocks lang and rear molye bushing ang pinalit sa Frontier ko before.

Tanong lang po tungkol sa medyo malakas na vibration ng makina.. Pansin ko po na medyo nag iba yung lakas ng vibration ng frontier ko, ngayon pati left side ng headlight e medyo nadadla na ng vibration na dati e hindi, may posibilities po ba na dahil sa limang engine support ang problema? Every year ko nman po ito pa tune-up.. At sir vinj, ask ko po yung reverse molye kung papaanu nito magagawang makabawas sa tagtag ng frontier natin, na same lang ang kapal po ng mga molye..

Anyone know where I can buy an instrument panel or speedometer/odometer ng panel for the 99 frontier 4x4 AT?

Nasira kasi yung speedometer/odometer panel and ayaw na gumana yung whole intsrument panel.
Nag order ako sa Nissan casa sa cagayan de oro and wala daw stocks sa manila wala din daw.

normal lang iyan. hindi accurate na diagnosis ang pagtanggal ng oil filler cap in determining blowby..

ang dapat gamitin to check for engine (piston) compression (and consequently blowby) is a compression test.

hello guys, may titingnan ako na 2001 frontier 4x4 AT bukas, 70k on the clock lady own apparently bihira gamitin daw!!!? ask ko lang natatampered ba ang digital odo? since nabasa ko karamihan about diesel consumption ng AT 3.2 4x4 may katakawan din pla. once na magustohan ko share ko agad dito. salamat frontier owners.. actually galing ako ng fuego 2.5 nagsawa lang ako sa ingay at bagal nya pero no headache at all very reliable machine.

Bihira nga naman kung tutuusin. Kung totoo yun. 14 year old. 5k per year lang

mga sirs may problema frontier namin td27 engine, yung RPM nya during idle nasa 1K na halos dati hindi naman ganun tapos po pag tinakbo ko na siya minsan fluctuating yung RPM niya anu kayang possible culpit TIA
