May 24th, 2014 12:13 PM #2102Kung basag na yung spring malaki na ang play. Problem sa DMF disposable at sealed ang loob. Yung pressure plate may indication ng annealing parang nasunog. Naubos ba ang clutch disc up to the metal?

May 24th, 2014 04:14 PM #2105IMO, just drive it normally. No abrupt releasing of clutch and avoid riding the clutch.
from Sachs Handel
http://www.understeer.com/pdf/dualmass.pdf
Possible causes of damage / failure of the dual-mass flywheel
- Frequent stalling of the engine / driving at extremely low engine speeds
- Irregular operation of ignition and fuel injection systems
- Different compression pressures in various cylinders
- Extreme vibration due to worn drivetrain components
- Overheating
Typical damage to flywheels
Secondary flywheel overheating is caused by misuse of the clutch, e.g. by allowing it to slip excessively.
- This is easily recognised when heat cracks and annealing colours occur.
- The heat makes the damping lubricant ineffective. The guide shoes, spring seats and springs "run dry"
Mine is past 100k and i do haul heavy things in long distances but i think my clutch is still OK.
Ive read somewhere new clutches/ DMF are better than the pre 2012. Now that your clutch/DMF is new, i think you dont have to worry much it will take you another xx,xxx kms. For now just enjoy your ride.

May 29th, 2014 07:16 PM #2106Since may nakapag tanong na rin about SCV's, i'd post this for everybody's reference. I personally don't experience symptoms yet but in case needed I'm prepared to clean or replace it when that happens. For those who cleaned and replaced D40 SCVs, appreciate if you could share your experience. Thanks
Thai 25mm unit PN#A6860-EC09A, there is also a 45 mm version.
Grey and beige end cap are the old ones. The new better quality denso scv's are now dark blue/turquoise.
Failure maybe due to dirty/clogged/stucked valve or the solenoid coil high resistance/open.
It can be cleaned maybe by soaking to carb cleaner but the internals inc coil is sealed.

June 20th, 2014 12:47 AM #2108Hello mga ka Navara!
Ask ko lang ang opinion ninyo.
My Dad has a 2011 Navara A/T never missed a beat since day 1. Due na for 35T kms. service. Ever since casa maintained but now na out of warranty na sya, balak ko starting now pag minor service sa labas nalang ipagawa tapos pag major interval (e.g. every 20T kms.) sa casa ulit. Is this advisable? Many thanks!
