Good PM mga sir...

Ask ko lang sana baka meron po sa inyo nakaka alam paano i-troubleshoot yung 2002 Grandeur GS yung Backing sensor kasi nya biglang nawala yung display sa rear view mirror ( yung distance e.g 35cm ) pero natunog pa din yung backing sensor pag malapit na tumama
nawala lang talaga yung display sa rear view mirror. i checked all the fuses under the steering wheel wala naman my putok.

paano kaya i diagnose to bakit biglang nawala yung display sa rear view mirror?

Good Day po mga Sir, just bought 2000 nissan exalta sta matagal ko na po kasi type ang exalta though may problema po na konti. yun po kasing mga wood trimmings sa loob may mga kulang na and young pinaka ceiling cover ng sunroof / moonroof wala na. Saan po ba pwede mabili ng mga yun? Thanks po

My nissan exalta is overheating and meron oil sa radiator and when I checked the dipstick parang chocolate milkshake na sya..sabi ng isang mechanic it needs overhaul na daw and it would cost me like 30-35k plus 7k labor nya. But when I asked yun isa panv mechanin na kilala ko sabi nya top overhaul lang daw which would cost me like 8-9k.

Ano po talaga kailangan ko top overhaul or engine overhaul na and estimate lang mga how much yun overhaul. Also, do know you any reliable machine shop dito commonwealth?

my overheating sentra drove me nuts! finally, we replaced the aux fans (both of them). voila! it took a brand new fan spinning beside my old fan, to convince me that my old fans that seemed to be still functional, were in fact, sub-functioning.

that chocolate milkshake is what oil mixed with water, looks like, in osterized form. you have them mixing somewhere inside your engine! loose bolts.. blown gasket.. engine block crack!!!
in an older engine, whatever the mechanic says he will do, once the engine is opened up, other problems that may not have been obvious before, are suddenly staring you in the face, demanding to be fixed! whatever estimate you are given, be financially and psychologically ready to spend more. i'd double it myself, justin case.. (yeah yeah, i know... over-estimate... but i'd feel better..)

years ago, i had my sentra engine completely overhauled. it cost me 35K total, including the power steering w/ hose..

Hello po mga sir! Bago lang po ako dito. Nissan Sentra Grandeur A/T po yung kotse ko. Mga sir hingi lang ako advice kasi pag nagdridrive ako laging naka Overdrive ako pero may nagsabi sakin malakas daw sa gasolina, too ba yun? Kasi pag naka O/D ako madalang lumagpas ng 2000 rpm ko pero pag naka off usually mga 1800 rpm ang takbo. Hindi po ba pag mababa ang rpm mababa rin ang kunsumo sa gas?

Tama sir. Pag naka O/D ka activated ang 4th gear pero pag naka O/D off hanggang 3rd gear lang.

Hey guys, biglang nawalan ng AC yung STA ko. Pagpunta ko sa AC shop, found out na pumutok yung Fuse sa Compressor. Pinalitan ng 10A. So ok na siya. Pag-gamit ko ng tanghali, sobrang init at naka-2 yung AC ko. Pagpanik ko ng elevated U-turn ng C5, nawala na naman. Pagpanik ko ng parking ng bldg namin, tinignan ko yung fuse at putok na naman. Tinext ko yung AC Shop, ang sabi eh Magnetic Coil na daw nung Compressor ang may problema. The question is, may brand new ba nun? kung meron magkano at kung saan meron? 2nd hand is 900 daw sabi niya. Your input is highly appreciated. TY :D

i used to have my sentra serviced in banawe. satisfied naman. walang hindi mahanap..
ask around po. it's fairly common. malas na malas ka kapag you can't find it along banawe...

but i do remember, it's not really cheap..

Update po...
Ok na po yung AC ko, pinalitan ng Magnetic Coil sa compressor. Damage is 900 sa coil, labor 450, 800 sa freon. SO tinest drive namin kahapon from Pasig-Manila Cathedral-San Agustin Church-Pasig Good naman siya. Kanina ko lang naramdaman yung mabigat yung takbo (HIRAP) siya kapag naka-AC ON. Especially kapag papanik. 2k RPM ambagal pa din ng takbo. Usually before masira yung AC ko eh 1.3kRPM lang eh nakaka-akyat ako ng maayos. Now, 2k RPM hirap pa din.

Ano po kaya dapat gawin at unang tignan?

Iyong wood trimming niyan mahirap ng humanap at talagang brittle iyan . Iyong cover naman ng sunroof pwede ka mag inqiure sa gawaan ng nga upholstery fabricate ka na lang.

120k is a good price but check the car for possible issues like window / doors , suspension , power steering, cooling system. Pros for an exalta will be the comfort while in the long drive. Nissan's aircon is also cold if it's well maintained and parts are everywhere and the car is easy to service. Cons siguro is that for a 2001 car, expect some parts to be replaced soon like the shocks. If it's still the original shocks it is very soft and in my forner exalta lagi sayad sa humps. Car does have average FC about 8 to 12 KPL. Siguro if you always go for fast acceleration magiging malakas sa gas because exalta is known to be a slow car, well in the city driving lang siguro but for highway speed okay naman siya.

the exalta did not sell in large numbers.
13 years later, you might have problems fixing up the little details... the borloloys... for lack of replacement parts..
it's not like the bigbody corolla, where you can build one from parts scattered about in the cathay center.

but hey! she's an elegant ride...

For me, I did not experience any problems with the parts. Exalta uses almost the same parts of a nissan sentra. Well kung mga borloloy / accessories na specific for exalta like the headunit mejo mahirap nga siguro maghanap nun. But well you can just purchase aftermarket car accessories na mas latest that can fit the car. What matters is the spare parts for the engine and different components which are available everywhere.
