Tatanong lang regarding brake rotors. nagbackread ako dito nabasa ko regarding powerplus rotors for replacement. n16 gen 1 na exalta grandeur auto ko. mejo may parang kumakayod na pag nagbbreak ako kahit makapal pa pads ko kaso may mga lines na yung rotor ko. balak ko ipapalitan nalang ng powerplus rotor kesa ipareface ko.

tanong lang. mas maganda ba magreplace nalang ng rotor (1250 ea) o reface ko (1k)?

For only 250 bucks more, I recommend replace..
Btw, is that brand new rotor or surplus? Kung surplus, mag-reface ka na lang.
I am assuming your rotors are still thick...
But shop around for refacing prices. Mukhang overpriced yang 1k..
Also, find out what caused that wear pattern. Otherwise, u-ulit lang yan..

Baka naman ang disk pads mo ang problema.. Hindi kaya mukha lang makapal nguni at manipis na talaga at kailangan nang palitan?

baka may bato o ulo ng pako na naka-lubog sa tire tread. hindi matanggal-tanggal..
it should be easy to find out.. inspect the entire circumference of the tread.

Hi Dr. D., I had the tire checked wla nman pong bato or anything. It all started after not using the car for about a week. Possible po kayang CV joint or brake caliper pins??? I just read it sa mga research ko po. Thanks Dr. D for replying

well, i don't think it has a cv joint in the rear wheels.
why not raise the wheel and rotate the tire.. see if you can elicit the noise..

Favor guys, Whoever owns 2003 Exalta Grandeur could you kindly please check or verify kung ilan talaga ang recommend na amount ng Octane for unleaded gas as per manual.

why not raise the wheel and rotate the tire.. see if you can elicit the noise..

btw, i meant, pa-ikutin yung gulong habang naka-jack up ang sasakyan... not do tire rotation..
you can also ask someone to walk beside the wheel in question as you drive the car very slowly, to see if the sound can be heard..
and also the wheel nuts.. are they tightened enough?

come to think of it... i had this 1997 sentra, whose right rear wheel from time to time, gave a squeeking noise. i had it checked out at least twice.. had the drum pulled, brakes checked and cleaned.. had the bearing checked.. the noise persisted until i sold the car 14 years later.. wala namang masamang epekto.. nakaka-inis lang.. i asked my friend the buyer, and he says yep, the noise is still there... big mystery... dinedma na lang namin..

Im driving a 01 Nissan exalta grandeur at. manual says min 95 octane for fuel. meaning premium dapat. talked to nissan balintawak service advisor unleaded lang recommended nila. kaso yung unleaded ng shell 91 octane lang. pag masyado mababa octane may maririnig kang "tok tok" sounds sa engine pag paahon (parang tope) kahit nasa timing naman. so i am using shell vpower nitro+ 95 octane not bad at all. hope this helps

Hi Dr. D., another problem developed. While driving in traffic tumaas ang temp ng exalta ko. I turned off the a/c and bumalik sa normal. I stopped by the nearest gasoline station and nagpalagay ng tubig sa radiator - ung reservoir puno po ng water (yun po yung plastic container beside the radiator right?). Nilagyan lang po ng water yung radiator then everything is ok. Normal na ulit po yung temp till I got home.

Possible po kayang kulang lang sa tubig (Kasi mga ilang araw ko nagamit yung auto na nde ko naglagay ng water) or my underlying problem na po?

Btw, one of the fans were replaced last year. Same problem din taas temp pag on ang a/c.
