    Had a 97 Sentra Series III EX Saloon. was averaging at 10-11km/l.

    meron akong kilalang Sentra Series III SS returning at 7-8-9km/l varrying depends on the road traffic and driving style pero always using the aircon. Sobrang lakas ng compressor ng Sentras kaya maganda at malakas at malamig naman talaga ang AC. try turning it off, malaki ang magiging difference sa fuel consumption from 1 to as high as 2km/l hike.

    presyo ng parts are about the same as itlog Lancers and big body Corollas.
    i feel at times na mas quality pa nga ang parts ng Sentra namen. especially when compared to our once car, a 95 Corolla XE.
    for example:

    of course, may fair share din ng problems like camber and alignment na 1 year pa lang kelangan na mag pa camber ulit. at engine water pump na nabutas sa unit namen. but quality-wise the car is excellent and seems to age better when properly maintained against some of its rivals.

    Ser. 3 b14- was the last good phdm sentra for me. Let's just say that's some of the pinoy masa heresay that made cars like the sen, lancer, mazda 323, have lower resale value vs. rolla and civic. ;) In other countries it's all a very different story.

    ako kotse ko nissan b14 1400 cc. ngayon nasa 45,000 km p lng.. alam mo depende siguro life ng car mo. kung maalaga ka at lagi mo na mamaintain, ayos engine mo. d sya malakas.. and ung valve timing nyan iba sa ngayon.. sa nissan tawag nila ay vvt or variable valve timing, ung nasa b14 series i think nasa plus lap timing pa yan.. maganda ung mga engine ngayon.. malakas na matipid pa sa gas.. sa vvt kasi na reregulate nya ung flow ng mixture na air and fuel kaya hindi malakas sa gas

    kung power ang pag uusapan xmpre directly proportional ang fuel consumption sa speed, the more speed you want the more fuel you burn,

    under a series III hood is a 1.6 L DOHC engine more probably on a worst traffic senario will cost about 5-6 km/L ng gasoline

    pero speed wise.. matulin talaga, previously nakapag drive ako ng Lancer GLXi 97 model, piniga ko sa NLEX hanggang 187 km/h ang todo sabi sa manual 190 km/h ang max eh ewan ko dpende din siguro eh aun pero 187 lng sagad na asa 5,500 rpm nko aun, sa lancer din pag binirit mo ang 1st gear max na ng 35 km/h at 5,000 rpm pero sa NISSAN series III SS 1st gear kaya pumalo hanggang 45 km/h diko lam pero stock lng ang sentra namen, then nasagad ko na din ang sentra sa NLEX almost napapalo ko xa ng 200 km/h astig, kayang sumabay sa Galant, accord, even SIR.. one time bumyahe kame pasouth nakakarera ko patungo sorsogon ay mazda III yet malakas ang acceleration ng nissan at maganda xa sa cornering if you can remember richard gomez's comercial on nissan ung line na "kapit na kapit" aun totoo xa im doing a 45 deg curve at 89 km/h kayang kaya, tumbs up tlga ako sa nissan, sa pyesa mura din ang pyesa, kung aircon pag uusapan malamig as in, dun nga sila nakilala eh, try it your self, pupuguin ng mga sentra ibang sasakyan.. pero depende padin sa driver aun

    Series 4? are you talking about the Sentra EX with the Exalta body? If so, B14 din ang chassis non, the same with any other Series3. Binigyan lang ng face lift. So I think that the fuel economy will not vary much from the Series 3.

    I have a 99 Series 3, doing no lower than 10km/L.

    As with what the others have mentioned, malakas sa gas compared to what? We had a 93 323 and a 91 Sentra sgx, both had 1.6L and carbed engines, fuel economy is not really that far off from each other. Though the Sentra had slightly better figures in city driving. The 323 did best on the highway, doing 14km/L on a trip to Baguio. Either car might not be able to compete, fuel economy wise, to a newer fuel injected car.

    Yesir. Exalta body EX variant. Isn't a 99 model a series 4 already? It has bigger lights at the rear. What is your engine displacement? Manual or matic? Would you know the consumption of an S4 1.4 EX matic? May 1.3 ba na EX?

    The Exalta body is the last face lift for the B14. I think the Exalta came out at 2000. My 99 EX came before the Exalta.

    Sorry bro, but I do not have data on a matic EX. But, I think that it might do 1-2km/L less than the M/t version. Hula ko lang.

    My 99 Sentra EX
    Engine=1400cc
    M/T
    EFI

    For the Exalta body:
    FE = 1300cc carb
    EX = 1400cc EFI
    SLA = 1600cc EFI M/T
    STA = 1600cc EFI A/T

    I have a 1999 EX Saloon A/T with 150T on the odo. I use full synthetic oil and Petron E10, so far I estimate it to consume about 9 to 10 km per liter (mix city and highway driving). Considering the age of the car I think the gas consumption is acceptable.

    Overall, the maintenance cost of a Nissan Sentra is low. Its my third sentra and so far none have broken down on me.
