Echo nickriingen... proper timing advance for the Sentra is around 10 degrees BTDC.
But change your wires and have your distributor checked... 228k kms is a looooong way to go on just the stock wires... especially in our tropical heat!

Hehe! Yeah it quite served us from generation to generation. Haha!
Anyways is NGK better than Bosch or any other brands? I'm trying to scout NGK HT wires around our area but I haven't seen 1 yet.
Thanks!

March 17th, 2010 06:19 AM #13got this same problem. timing and hatak was fine before i had the head gasket replaced. idling is just fine but im having problem with the lack of power. till now, the car, lec 97, is still in the shop. i told the mechanic to observe how it does. martes ko pa iniwan sa kanya, kukunin ko sa friday. sana, may hatak na. we suspect its the timing when the other mechanic replaced the head gasket..

The assumption that the vehicle runs on the road, the ECU is more than likely a match. Try cleaning...
