April 16th, 2008 07:56 PM #109Wow... this thread is old! and I think it does not need to kill any fortuner at this time (my uncle sold he's fortuner for it's lemony characteristic). This Pathfinder is actually a Terrano also. This SUV is slotted in size between the Murano and Armada or Patrol, but in price between the Xterra and Murano. Unfortunately, I think it we wont see this model anytime soon here locally (as usual).
Uhhh... sir may I ask, where did you say that the Pathfinder flopped in sales? I use to live in the states and it's doing very good there.

Recap:
Armada
This is the Nissan Armada, its a full-size SUV developed for the North American market, there is only one engine available, a 317hp 5.6 liter V8, its about the same size as a Ford Expedition.
Pathfinder
The smaller Pathfinder is roughly the same size as the Ford Explorer, in the US its available with a 266hp gasoline 4.0 liter V6 and the Armada's gasoline V8 tuned to 310hp, for most markets outside North America the Pathfinder is only available with the 266hp gasoline 4.0 V6 and the 169hp 2.5 liter common-rail turbodiesel engine similar to the one in the Frontier Navara, the Pathfinder's sister model.
The current Pathfinder is only being manufactured in the USA and in Spain, most if not all non-North American models come from Spain.
If they were to sell the Pathfinder here, the two possible engines would be the gasoline V6 and the common-rail turbodiesel engine.
Will this be a Toyota Fortuner killer if sold here? Most likely not since it will have to be imported from outside Asia. The 4X4 diesel model will most likely hit the P2M mark if sold here.
