Same engine and transmission specs din nang sa Australia.. May bibili kaya ng de-gasolina nila? Sana meron ZD30 380 N-m Torque with 5-speed A/T Combo. 275/70/16 pa rin ung wheels no? Hindi na automatic-climate type ung aircon? Parang nagdowngrade pa ah. Cruise controls would be a nice touch. Ang nagustuhan ko lang ung masaggressive na flare fenders.. gwapong gwapo.

CRD na rin yata ung bagong Super Safari.. Common rail lang ung injection, hence the additional power and torque. Pero hindi yata same ng sa 2.5 CRDi ng new Pathfinder and Navarra with 410 N-m torque.

The Nissan Patrol maintains the legend while adding unprecedented levels of style and some very useful features. For example, cruise control is now standard equipment on all Nissan Patrols, and you can now choose between the powerful 4.8 litre petrol or the all-new 3.0 litre common rail intercooled turbo diesel engine.

This 118kW common rail turbo diesel powerplant offers all the benefits of diesel fuel economy with the kind of performance that is normally associated with petrol engines. Alternatively, the 4.8 litre petrol engine pumps out an impressive 180kW, making it the most powerful in its class. And it offers a massive 3,500kg braked towing capacity.

The M/T super safari has a lower final gear ratio of 4.111 compared to the previous model & A/T super safari with 4.375. what does having a lower final gear ratio mean?

actually it means that it will have a lower top speed (if you consider the ratio application on the same engine), but better top gear acceleration....depending on how well spaced the ratios are, mas gaganda talaga acceleration...

it just shows how far nissan phil. is behind compared to other regions when it comes to releasing their vechicles... i think this model is 3 years old already in australia and papua new guinea..maybe the engine is new but the body is sure old.. its just too bad... but its still a good suv..

If I'm not mistaken, the Patrol is in the same class as the Land Cruiser 100 right? LC100 costs over 1M more though ...

Ditto... and it still retains the solid axle set-up as against the LC100 wherein it was dropped (but there's the more rare LC105 for that AFAIK)...

This is facelift Patrol. The All New Patrol should be out in other countries for the 2009 Model year, that would be around late next year.

2.5m for this old platform is kinda steep IMHO, wait for the new pajero - better technology and specs for about the same price

If you need a tough truck, this is your ticket. Even the legendary Land Cruiser has gone 'soft' by abandoning solid front axles in favor of IFS.

Mitsubishi has abandoned solid axles all together by offering IFS and IRS. Relying instead on computers and sensors (M-ASTC) to keep it going in the rough stuff.

I'm not really fond of computers and the Nissan Patrol's inherent toughness and simplicity still gets my vote.

For those wealthy guys who just need an SUV to imply their abilities in bed or extend their penises, there are better rides out there.

the previous presidential editon looks better for me than the new super safari..chrome side mirrors, door handles & rims..the front grille of the new patrol is like similar to the new pathfinder
