July 29th, 2010 11:13 AM #624thank you sir. uhm in regard with the FC and change oil...
I would like to throw this question to you guys.. Recently i just had my car changed oil at Shell instead on CASA because it's much cheaper. Will it affect my FC? Haven't noticed any difference yet but I would like to know on your part.
Thank you!

*papalord,

July 29th, 2010 02:24 PM #626grabe - this is just like me!!!! except that im usually alone in my car
am on my second nissan gx automatic
my silver 2005 unit served me well for 5 years - 77,000kms. all casa maintained, synthetic fuel from the beginning. absolutely trouble free except for a new pair of rear shocks last christmas.
since our company owns both the new and old one, i get to drive the old one every once in a while. i can hardly feel the difference between both units in terms of overall riding comfort. and of course, the legendary nissan airconditioner was just about as cold as the day i got them from the dealer.
one thing that upsets me about the 2010 is the lack of instrumentation warning the trunk lid is ajar! an open trunk does not also turn on the cab lights like it used to. i complained about this and they couldnt give me an acceptable explanation.
at least they now have an aux capable head unit.Last edited by vtf; July 29th, 2010 at 02:28 PM. Reason: wrong grammar

Hindi mo mapapapansin ang difference sa performance kung sa oil lang, but it is one step forward to good fuel effeciency.
dapat magandang quality. ito rin nabasa ko sa wikipedia... :D
"With improved efficiency, synthetic lubricants are designed to make wear and tear on gears far less than with petroleum-based lubricants, reduce the incidence of oil oxidation and sludge formation, and allow for "long life" extended drain intervals. Today, synthetic lubricants are available for use in modern automobiles on nearly all lubricated components, potentially with superior performance and longevity as compared to non-synthetic alternatives. Some tests[citation needed] have shown that fully synthetic oil is superior to conventional oil in many respects, providing better engine protection, performance, and better flow in cold starts than petroleum-based motor oil"
Happy motoring
