bad poetry? huh? it's perfect! outstanding subject-verb agreement, parallelism... full of symbolisms, metaphors. i have to give it to this guy. simply awesome!

^ i hope you're able to identify sarcasm. and yeah, i've read my fair share of prose and poetry. but thanks for the tip anyway.
well then, pardon me friend. yes i can detect sarcasm, which is why i asked in the first place.
unfortunately, sarcasm doesn't transmit well online. face-to-face yes. but can you REALLY identify sarcasm online?
^ most of the time yes. i guess i have a discerning eye for that kind of thing. it's a gift i believe. the use of contextual clues is definitely necessary.
and you said that you detected my sarcasm which led to your asking me if i was being sarcastic (see your post, i hate quoting hehe). if you detected my sarcasm then why didn't you just leave it at that? did you believe that i didn't know poetry thus prompting you to suggest that i brush up on it?
if you can detect sarcasm online, then bilib ako sa yo.
to me, context is relative. most of the time, i call it as i see it. as in love, i never try to assume anything until the text is perfectly clear on it. which is why i detest using sarcasm online. the text could leave so much room for interpretation whether right or wrong. i just write what i mean sans sarcasm. that's just me, but dont you think it would make our online lives simpler?
the suggestion for a brush up on poetry was presumed on the non-use of sarcasm on your part.
Oo nga guys, OT na kayo, hehehe.
Seriously, the TS might be a friend of the author, or a rider himself. Honestly, I wasn't bowled over by the composition, and actually got bored reading the first 3 lines. I scanned the text, and found it replete with spelling and grammatical errors. Any writer worth his salt detests making elementary mistakes, which is why this cannot pass as a good post, let alone be the best. --- Now, how's that for my Simon Cowell impersonation?![]()
morrissey, i guess i was born with an extra sarcastic gene. well, to make your life easier i'll try to live sarcasm free for the next 24 hours, cool? hehe
Now this is MY Simon Cowell impersonation: the post totally sucked. the writer has no right whatsoever pretending to be a poet.
however certain writers were said to have written their best works while under the influence of alcohol. edgar allan poe is a perfect example for it was said that he penned "The Cask of Amontillado" while he was drunk. could be that the author of the poem was drunk too, and the "elementary" mistakes were his attempts at "poetic" license/freedom.
Kung saan-saan na napunta ang usapan na to.
..... BACK TO TOPIC PLEASE...
not to be too anal pero that post has bad poetry, bad grammar, and bad spelling. i dont know why a lot of people like it. i think that poster will marry his bike if it is at all possible. pic below says what i think about this. meh.
i used to have a honda 250cc bike myself (sold it last year). i enjoyed riding that bike. i was not interested in the camaraderie among "brother" "knight" riders, i just liked that feeling of freedom...
hmmm...
my point got lost somewhere while typing this post. natatawa kasi talaga ako dyan sa "best" post ng MCP.
i really hope that's not the best MCP has to offer since I'm a member there myself. hahahaha. inactive nga lang ako.
mga sir, i'm a rider also, i have a 700cc and a 1200cc... the sad thing about all this is that there is already a very big misconception about riders and that we have all been categorized as being reckless with complete disregard for the law and safety of the public... such a shame... those that have tarnished us are those who are undereducated with the responsibilities of riding a bike, they lack knowledge of their social and public responsibilities...
The piece was nice, nicely written.. and as can be expected biased towards what he loves to do, and i respect that.
if only majority of the small CC bike owners/riders rode with more respect for other motorists and pedestrians, then we wouldn't be having any more problems...![]()
