Is it feasible to swap the turbo of the said engine? swapping the turbo with a turbo of a fuso truck (6d or 8d series) stuff like that.
If yes:
Is this turbos are high or low boost?
How much boost this turbo of the truck produce?
Also any idea how much hp will produce installed on 4d56t?
What particular parts will changed?
May nakagaw nito?
Can't sleep for days cos there's store here in our place selling those turbos very *seductive* they are big you know 'snails'.
TIA

big doesn't always mean better. on 4d56t's case it will only make your ride more like a "big snail" on start off...
just think about it; the turbo is to compress air. the bigger space means it takes longer to produce compressed air.
a 4d56 turbo can already give you abundant of compressed air, but you are still limited to your engine's boost pressure max capacity, which is 12psi. so the wastegate will "waste" the excess pressure of your 4d56 turbo.
one best way is to use those Variable geometry turbo. the turbo internal space size varies according to your rpm. but work and cost is not worth the trouble...
the real best way is to use your existing turbo and buy a boost controller to increase boost. and for better turbo lifespan, add a BOV.Last edited by rion; August 15th, 2008 at 01:19 AM.
