In terms of functionality, when it rain, don't even bother, you'll really have a hard time... If you want to go cheap, i think i saw somewhere selling china HIDs at around 5t per set, those might even be better than the plain super white light bulbs.

That's my opinion ah... But i think for those who's used or seen both would totally agree with me.

Sirs, the cover of my srs airbag at the passenger side is slightly biulging with a rectangular framing mark quite evident from under (probably a result of heat from sunlight). Is this just normal or is this enough ground for me to request for a correction/replacement of the cover. Thanks for your replies.

When I got my MS 2.5L 4 weeks ago, it already shows a very prominent airbag framing mark. It also has a very slight hint of bulging. My wife was complaining then that the workmanship does not seem very good. I would be interested to know too if this is a defect or just something we all have to live with

I also have a question to the owners of 2.5, it seems like engine noise is louder than Korean diesel cars (Kia/Hyundai diesel cars). It sound almost similar to Innova diesel. Yun lamig ng aircon will also kick in only after 2to 3 minutes. Are these normal or has anyone experienced the same issue? Thanks for any advice.

That is one thing I noticed about the MS diesel. Mas maingay pa sya kaysa Fortuner diesel, and definitely way mas maingay kaysa Korean diesel...

yes tungkol sa ingay, maingay talaga and i think habang tumatagal mas umiingay, yung neighbor naming 2. isang 2.5 and isang 3.2 GLS (both strada) lakas ng ugong......pero buti na lang sanay ako sa isuzu and eversince gusto ko talaga lagitik ng diesel powerplant. mas maingay - mas macho :attack:

tsaka since it's a truck bagay lang rin tutal may ibubuga naman eh.

Malakas na sa diesel pag nag average ka 140kph all the way manila subic manila nlex sctex.

Alabang Subic Alabang - one full tank less than 400kms.

i agree with you sir zeus75, nka 180+ din ako and medjo pareho tayo sa FC..
maybe there are some factors na hanggang 170 lang si sir alwyn and taas ng FC nya...like tire pressure, load of the car, and wind resistance....

Kitang kita siya from the driver's side at makakapa mo 'yung frame bulge.

Took my monty 4x2 to Baguio last Thursday and returned yesterday and got lost on the way home taking the alternate route to Manila (to avoid the heavy traffic in Urdaneta) and ended up in Nueva Ecija but at least nabreak-in ko na yung monty ko (started out at less than 500k on my way to Baguio and ended almost exactly 1000k upon reaching Manila so time for my first 1000k check up :-) and got to try out the potential of my monty (120km/h no sweat on the 2.5 engine, even went 140km/h once but was hesitant to floor it till after my 1000k checkup then it's party time :-)

By the way, just to warn you guys who are considering to buy your monty at citimotors alabang, I was supposed to get my monty 4x2 from them more than a month ago but after finalizing all the needed documents (opted for my bank's auto financing as their's are simply outrageously high) and being promised that my unit is already at the branch ready for release, they suddenly informed me that my unit will be released after 2 days instead of the day we finalize our docs (I guess they opted to give it to some other guy who got inhouse financing). After 2 days they then informed me that my unit will be delayed another day. Then they informed me again that the unit won't be available for another week. Feeling that they are lying to me about the delivery date, I decided to cancel my order and ask for the refund of my deposit (P10k) and opt to get it from another dealer (got it the very next day). Long story short, it's already more than 3 weeks now and after countless calls to their cashier, I still haven't received my refund yet (after following their paper trail, I can't believe that it takes them 3 or more days for each department head to sign their name on a stupid piece of paper , I guess they really have very long names .) So I strongly advice you guys to think twice before dealing with them

The drive was so smooth that travelling 120km/h feels like you're driving only 60km/h in other cars (no complaints from my 2nd and 3rd row passengers) My FC is 10.5km/liter (speed between 60-140km but got stuck in heavy traffic -almost an hour - in Urdaneta on the way to Baguio and fully packed with 6 passengers and lots of baggage)

this is absolutely true. we went to baguio 2 weeks ago and, whoa!, sobrang lakas talaga ng engine nito. just a stroll in the park ang kennon road for our ms. to think puno pa kami plus our baggages. two thumbs up talaga!

    ^^^

    seems to be kumbinsing!

initially, i had doubts about the MS 2.5 4x2 because of the 2.5 sharing a heavier body than the Strada GL/GLX - but based on your feedback, parang no sweat... this is gradually changing my perception... great!
