i really wonder, who in the corporation makes these crucial decisions.. it would seem so obvious to the man on the street... i find it unbelievable that mitsubishi didn't consider this at all.. perhaps they know something we don't.. perhaps they were protecting their other models... most strange..
the other corporation, on the other hand, seems to be pressing all the right buttons..

You can only do so much. The car's primary assembly and design are for the Chinese and Taiwanese market. The Philippines only gets it because we're left-hand drive, like Taiwan. Other ASEAN countries are not.

Since it's primarily a Taiwanese product, it's only designed for and with gasoline engines. If it was made primarily for the ASEAN market, like the Strada and Montero Sport, it would be designed for diesels.

Not like we're an important enough market for Mitsubishi to build a special diesel variant only for us.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Saw an actual unit earlier * Megamall. 1.6L 5AT

First impression, pretty good. Pareho lang itsura niya sa 2.0 EX GLS.

HU is 2-din LCD. Spare tire is steel. All-power. Lahat similar sa 2.0 GLS, ang nagkaiba lang ata is the engine. Di ko nakita if may foglamps.

It's spacious inside, and it looks pretty expensive too considering the price.

Speaking of, eto talaga pinaka-ok sa package -- YUNG PRICE.

For the first 300 buyers you can get one for below 800k. Yes, below 800k.

    1.6L MT -- 750k after discounts.
    1.6L AT -- 795k after discounts.

    ---

However, sobrang BS talaga ng CASA. Claimed fuel consumption is 19km/L * a constant speed of 90km/h for the AT and 21km/L * a constant speed of 90km/h as well.

It's not even believable. Siguro pwede kung controlled environment.

Ayos. 750K for the M/T. considering di naman ganun ka bare yan diba? all-wheel discs, ABS, dual airbags standard pa rin ata. nasa brochure nila yang 21 KpL. seryoso kaya yan. yung vios nakaka-20Km/L lang yun sa trip computer pag lowest speed * 4th gear (4 A/T). that would be running strictly around 60-70kph

19 is probably doable, depending on e gear ratio, but 21 will require some really really really good driving.

I'm not very sure if the rear brakes are discs or drums. Pero parang drum-in-disc or something like that ata?

No black plastics on the handles/side mirror. That was the first thing I checked. 1.6GLX AT kasi yung naka-display.

Meron nga nag-doubt na customer kanina... when the SA was claiming na yun nga 21km/L for the MT, the person was like..."totoo naman kaya yan..." :bwahaha:

The 1.3L Vios MT can achieve 22km/L. The 1.5L Vios, I think, can achieve ~20s as well. Pero yun nga, the Vios is a light car. The Lancer on the other hand is not. So medyo imposible ata yung 21km/L sa MT.

Pero I think 19s is probably achievable sa MT. Tapos walang aircon? Or aircon is on level 1, thermostat set to the lowest.. night-driving, no load. Hehehe.

I'm glad.

Saw a unit of Lancer Ex 1.6 GLX 4-A/T at Mall of Asia today c/o Peak Motors Roaxas Boulevard.
Impressed naman ako sa labas. 4 wheel Discs. No fogs if I remember it right.
I did not see the stock rims since modified yung sa display unit nila.

    However, im dissapointed sa loob.
    1. hindi siya naka steptronic. P R N D 3 2 1.
    2. sidings. lahat black. hindi man lang nilagyan ng contrast. though if may cf sticker, it would look great naman.

"NEW body-colored door handles" maximum I got with the Vios 1.5 A/T is 20.3 Km/L between 60-70 Kph, for the sorento, 21.6 Km/L * 70Kph Cruise control ON for the 130Km trip. these figures are taken from the trip computer though. not actual.
