Hi guys. This is a cool thread! It's very informative and I have been going through it bit by bit. My fieldmaster is now 7 years old and has reached 70,000kms. I have decided to spruce it up a bit. Can I ask for recommendations as to what shops to go to for Pajero accessories as well as Pajero surplus parts? I have lost my trouble light and most of the original tools and I would like to complete these.

A recent fix I did on my Pajero is replacing the alternator. I changed my battery last week and the Motolite guy checked how my alternator was charging. He told me that it was weak and I should have it checked which I did so. I went to three electrical shops which all gave me the same diagnosis - a weak alternator that needed replacing. I ended up getting a surplus alternator which now provides me with the correct voltage. I was shocked however when I inspected my old alternator and discovered that it was only rated at 80 amperes as I always thought that these vehicles came with a 90 ampere alternator. Anyway, all is well now and I am just scouting for new rims and tyres to replace my current ones. There seems to be more options for r15 tyres. Should I change to r15 rims or should I maintain it at r16? L

    Thank you!

I forgot to add to my earlier post that my washers are blocked. I tried getting them unclogged but have had no luck. Any tips on what to do with these? Is there a replacement part?

Suggest to maintain your R16. Mostly ang upgrade ay palaki ng rim at hindi paliit.

You can go to Banawe in Quezon City to look for parts and accessories for our Pajero.

As for the rims, maintain you're 16" rims or better yet, upgrade to 18" rims. If you'll be looking for new 16" rims, there are only a few designs available.

I already did that. I even had the guy suck the hose so whatever blockage can be sucked out but whatever's in there is still there. Perhaps there is a solution I can dip the washer in to dissolve the gunk in it?

Any recommended shops? I went to Banawe the other week but was only able to cover the area close to Maria Clara and N Roxas.

I think I will stick to r16. R18 tyres might be too expensive in the long run. As it is, I already get sticker shock when I ask about tyres now as our retail prices here are much more expensive than retail prices overseas.

Go to the other side of Banawe. There, you can find other car accessories shop like Maspro and Perfect Circle.

Actually, 265/70/R16 tires are already expensive, especially those all terrain tires, except Cooper tires which I found very cheap but has very good performance.

Joy liquid? I haven't tried that. Thanks! The motor is ok and I had the guy from Banawe sucked my hoses so I know they're unclogged leaving only the washers themselves as the problem.

Tama, you can use WD-40 or engine degreaser, remove the washer and babad ng konti

hi again pajero experts. i would like to ask for your opinion/s again.

if you were to choose between a 1999 fieldmaster 4x4 manual transmission and a 2006 fieldmaster 4x2 automatic trans, which would you choose?

im now a bit confused on which 2nd hand unit to buy.

i like the 1999 unit because its a manual transmission, but i dont know if i really need a 4x4 vehicle, not to mention its already a 13 year old vehicle. one thing i also liked about the 1999 unit is the lack of egr, so that's one less thing to worry about maintenance wise (yes, ive been reading this thread).

i like the 2006 unit because its only 4x2 and its just 6 years old, i just dont like it being automatic and the egr thing.

their prices are not that far apart so i really need your advice that would help me finally make a decision. thanks and merry christmas!
