Ganyan din sakin.. 2 months old, 4x2 auto GLS-V 2014, EGR blocked din. Eversince nag unioil ako. Pero my last full tank since a week ago, tnry ko shell fuel save. bumaba ng konti FC ko. sa skyway never nag 13km/l ako before, pero ngaun parang nag improve. Although sa heavy traffic walang mashadong gain.

I tried switching to Shell fuel save diesel na euro 2 just to isolate smoke issues that I've been having. So far hindi naman cya umuusok. Before kasi parang may smoke screen everytime binibirit ko, pero hindi ko makitaan ng pattern or consistencies e. Try ko pa a couple of tanks more with shell fuel save diesel euro 2.

Bro, what engine oil did you use on your first 1000 PMS? Mine was the mineral based regular oil from Mitsubishi dealer itself, believe it or not that absolutely is the cause of the poor fuel consumption and loud engine noise. I had mine changed yesterday outside to a better kind of mineral based oil (please note that synthetic oils are not recommended for new engines), the results were tremendous and immediate. My MID shows from 5km/l to now at least 8km/l city driving and the engine runs much smoother and quieter.

Aww! We got GlsV 4x4 matic last sept 26.Then 1st 1k pms ni Monty last oct.(after 2 1/2 weeks),fully synthetic nilagay ni casa. So ngayun 2500+ na mileage nya.Shell v power nitro+ gamit. 3weeks bakasyon bayaw ko dito sa Pinas.araw araw ginagamit.Pero nung bumalik na sya sa Saudi,bihira na namin gamitin. then every friday sundo sa kabilang bahay(from Pinagbuhatan Pasig to De Castro Pasig) then sunday hatid ko uli sila.(parents,nephew,niece)...1thousand lang pina-karga ko nuon.Di ko napansin yung consumption e.pero parang ok naman. Paano po ba basahin yung lumalabas sa HU regarding FC?thanks po

Hello bcm09, sorry I am a little confused here. Gls-V 4x4 is the manual transmission variant right? Or GT-V automatic? Shell v-power nitro+ is the 95 Octane GASOLINE, is your Monty the 3.5L Mivec trim?

Please do not switch back to mineral based engine oils once you start using the fully synthetic ones, it might cause some damages.

Please use only Unioil Euro4 diesel (if your Monty is the diesel variant) to avoid heavy smoke and damage to the fuel filter, have you had your EGR blocked?

Please try to top up your tank as often as possible and do not leave it low or empty for a long time, diesel generates moist in your fuel tank, which is water that will be going into your engine.

I am no expert here, feel free to approach master ZIX888 for any concerns that you might have, just PM him.

my Moymoy is going 8 mos now and 10th full tank auto na sya, the lowest estimate is 6.86 km/ltr and the rest is 7.5 above, the best FC i got so far is 8.09km/ ltr..All city driving - (GLX A/T, egr blocked since its 1st month)

Napansin ko bumaba ng ~800 rpm nung nag palit ako ng zic rv from mobil delvac
From 2200 rpm * 100-110kph to 1.2rpm same speed. First time ko gumamit ng fully synthetic and it seems nakahelp sya to quieter engine and improve fc.

Pero sana bumalik yun 11-12 na fc ko without changing to old tires size.

AFAIK, there will be a drop on your FC everytime you switch to a bigger tire, not that your FC is really dropping, but because your odometer becomes uncalibrated. If before using 205/80/16 tires can make you travel 700kms, in 1 full tank, changing to 265/65/17 will probably reduce it to 650kms. Your FC is still the same, its just that your odometer reflects a shorter reading because the diameter of the two tires are not the same. Remember that distance are computed by odometer based on the # of rotations your wheels make, so if you have a bigger tire, it takes less rotation to travel such distance.
I also came from 205/80/16 tires and before my office distance is around 22. something kilometers, and then I switched to 265/50/20 and my office distance became 20. something (based on the odo).
So if you'll compare FC of both tires, you would think the bigger one has a lower FC when in fact it is the same.

Anyway, going back to the topic, mine is 2013 strada 2.5 M/T, I usually travel 700kms in between fill up, fill up is usually 60-62 liters, giving me an FC of 11.3 to 11.6kms per liter. Usual travel is Makati to Las Pinas via SLEX or Coastal.

Hi just wanna share the FC of our MS GLS-V. Kung puno kami we get 9-11km per liter pag 2 passengers lang we can hit 10 to 14 km per liter. Depende talaga sa habit ng driver yan. By the way bago pa MS namin. So far super happy kami coz ang tipid plus powerful engine.

Yes. It can be recalibrated. They will just have to input the new diameter of your tires, 205/80/16 is only 28.91 inches, while 265/65/17 is 30.56 inches so there's really a big difference. Running 95kph (based on odo) on your 265 will mean running around 101kph in reality. I already asked Citimotors before and they said that they can recalibrate it to match your new tire size.
